I agree with your statement. Frr, what was that letter doing in his house for years, did he just forget about it lmao. Way to go...cry and beg now and madam will surely forgive him in the end so atleast suffer for a while kek

 

He might have forgotten it but if I was the wife I would see it as something from his first love he is holding onto and is special to him. The text on the letter doesn't help his case either He is brave keeping that type of letter just lying around.

 

Obviously, Lol he deserves what's coming like a truck to hit his happiness

 

According to comment section, Male Lead of this novel was a lonely man. They are saying the feelings he felt for Leyla wasn't love, he was just so lonely that he didn't want to lose her. Leyla was a best friend and Chloe was love but he wasn't able to realise.

It also seems that he was also in touch with Leyla in all those years so I don't doubt if he was always on her beck and call and about the letter, it was found in the safe of his own study.

A comment also said that he married Chloe so he won't be lonely anymore but made Chloe lonely instead.

Also there is this character name Helena who might be her mother in law, she doesn't seems to like Chloe and maybe is the driving force behind her insecurities after she married Gerald.

They mentioned 'yougest daughter' in their comment, so were Chloe and Leyla sisters? Won't that explain why they look alike? No well - there is another sister whose name is Catherine so this spoiler may not be right.

Comment : Divorce with Gerard, get out of the shadow of Leyla, and get out of the shadow of her sister Catherine, and live with her artistic talent. To get it and stand alone as Chloe.

 

So the comments say he didn't respect her much and not care about her. He is selfish and turns out have a horrible MIL too. Now why the hell would author say in description that she had a happy life for 8 years

We need some good character development from ML and a lot of suffering

The rating is good for the novel so far so maybe it is getting better or author have good writing skills

Either divorce or separate for a good amount of time so ML can grow the hell up and she can build up her confidence and be in control of her life.

That is a shock to Chloe, imagine for 8 whole years someone deceive you, and that come from your own husband that you truly love. Ohh the betrayal, her heart must shattered and there will be a lot of trust issues later on.
