Oh man that manga lol. Thanks for mentioning, I'll read it again.
He has troubles in expressing himself. Although the letter is painful reveal for Chloe and may bring her feelings for him down but on the other hand, it is a good push for this male lead to finally realise of what he has.

Chloe born and raised in a family where her every action was compared with that of her sister is an insecure person which she admits herself. For her, actions and words both are needed to know that she is loved. All this time, she was happy with her small family and was comfortable in her life, for such a person this came like a baseball smashing a glass window.

Sometimes, you've to lose something in order to realise it's worth. Humans are generally like that, at times, they had to be deprived of something in order to let them know it's worth.

The male lead is a good husband, cares for his family, is devoted to his wife. He hasn't done anything bad to his wife and trusts her very much. (Atleast in what I read he did) He is perfect partner but it's now time that he puts on a role of a lover as well and turn their monotonous life into that of a passionate one.

 

He should try to emulate the passion of Gomez Addams.
