    Well, usually if the author and artist are the same person it is likely not an adaptation, although there are exceptions.

    Indeed. The ones that have the right pacing, interesting plot and funny dynamics leaves people just starved until the next update.

    You may not mean this but basing on my experience, most adaptations of my favorite novels or games just made me really sad and disappointed. They seemed rushed and weirdly paced. No hate intended since I know IT IS difficult to match illustration and the story line.

    Honestly speaking though, I'm only waiting for arts and fics by fans to sate my thirst for some OGs.
