I am on the verge of dying just to prove I existed.

Yes, I have questioned my existence.

 

We are all background characters some higher being created to make the main character stand out in the end.

 

you chose your meaning in life, try things, get hobbies, then make one of them your goal, then enjoy the struggle

I exist as long as my family exist. If they didn't exist, then I will cease to exist.

then from afar we kinda look like a dog chasing it's own tail, but it's still fun, there is a reason why dogs do it!

I'm of the "accept uncertainty" variety.
Not exactly nihilistic, but close.
Even if we don't exist, like this is all a simulation or whatever, that doesn't change my reality. Tomorrow will still happen. I'll still wake up, read some light novels, grab something to eat around noon, etc. Etc.
I also accept that after my death, I will not matter in the slightest. It's one of the reasons I want to donate my body to science and don't want a grave stone, though that will be up to my loved ones. As least my flesh bag might be of some use instead of just rotting in the ground. And besides my immediate family and loved ones, who will grieve me terribly, who cares? I barely matter now in the grand scheme of society and history. And none of us matter as far as the universe is considered. Eventually, even Hitler and Queen Elizabeth the 1st will be names forgotten in time. Sooooo, why worry about it? I will be among the forgotten gods.
Nothing matters, so I'll do what I want. Harm as few as possible just for my own conscious and happiness. Grow as old as I can and die. And I'm ok with that.
Dieing sooner just means you'll get forgotten sooner. As well as hurt your loved ones that much sooner.
The longer I live, the longer I have a chance to make even a slight dent in the public consciousness that is history. And if I don't, that's still ok. At least it was an interesting ride.
