Title is self explanatory. What is your favorite genre/troupes when pair with romance? and if this even matter, do you prefer romance as sub genre or as the main genre? For genre, Mine are action and comedy... cause well that's my top 3 favorite genres lol for troupes, nothing really came up to me yet. i might need to think about this a little more.
Mine is smut, mature, adult lmao I also like fantasy, supernatural I prefer age gap but never when MC/FL is older, I also like mutual healing. Any kind of forbidden or controversial relationship(boss-subordinate, master-disciple, etc.) where no matter how others might view their relationship, they doesn't care because they fulfill each others needs, or that person will only be the one to accept their real self. I prefer main characters centered novel if romance, if there are too many side characters and there's other suitors I drop the novel fast.
I like comedy and historical. I read BG and BL Favorite subgenres or tropes: Marrying a disabled prince Hidden identity Wife chasing crematoriums Salted fish Fight for the throne Least: Orphan MC vs. entire family Somebody gets tricked into a compromising position by being locked in a room That pesky incense that makes everyone horny
Sorry that I use your post: but what is the difference between boys gay and boys love? Spoiler: the truth motherZucker I had to look it up a few months ago and I was surprised BG meant boy-girl love. I'm angery at the idiot who thought the abbr. BG is reasonable and the people who agreed.
Marriage life, I think is my most favorite. Cohabitation is almost similar but never quite the same with if they're actually legally married. Exes getting back together. Not so good idea irl but quite appealing in novels. They're almost all loving couples who split up because of one misunderstanding or another. Also power couples. Who don't like a pair both being powerful people. And switch couples in BL, even though the novel has no explicit scenes, it still has a different taste. And hurt-comfort There might be more, but they're all I can think off the top of my head that are romance-related
Lately I’ve been falling heavily for falling-in-love after marriage bl! I also like the “i’ll pick the villain” type of tropes!
