I read it by MTL, so please inform me if it needs correction. Spoiler: Rough Spoilers Jo-yeon, a Korean freshly graduated female worker, died in an accident. The Voice of Question gives her a chance to live again with cost to make the given story a happy ending for everyone. She possessed the villainess, Nerissa/Nell, in a romance novel called <Attack on Princess>. Nerissa is a daughter from a fallen noble family that was adopted by duke (Adelaide/Adel/OG FL's father) as a companion for Adel. In the original story, Nerissa acts as a good companion in front of Adel but spreads bad rumors about Adel behind her back, as she actually feels inferior to Adel. Nerissa makes Adel die in an accident but Adel comes back to life. Adel works with Crown Prince Roberto (Sir Rob in stealth mode), who will be her lover as the story progresses (Nerissa also has feelings towards Robert), to aveges Nerissa, resulting in Nerissa killing herself as she can't stand it anymore. Jo-yeon possessed Nerissal after Adel comes back to life. As Jo-yeon's character is different with the OG Nerissa and she doesn't want to die like OG Nerissa, she tries to run away from the duke's house, but Adel's subordinate catches her. Adel asks why she ran away. As Jo-yeon knows the original plot, she tells Adel that she also returns to the past as Adel (literally she makes the original plot looks like her life before returning to the past) and the past Adel and Nerissa watch are different. Adel watches the ending in which she dies and Nerissa has a happy ending with Roberto. But as Adel returns to the past, Nerissa watches the ending in which Adel and Roberto become lovers and drive her to kill herself. Nerissa tells Adel that she will not covet hers and go into a different path with Adele because she doesn't want to die again in this timeline. So Adele will watch her for the time being and believe in herself and Roberto will be lovers as Nerissa had said. They tell the duke if Nerissa's runaway because they had a fight before and they had made up, so Nerissa went back into the house. Nerissa tells the duke if she wants to be independent, asking him to help her to open a workshop (Jo-yeon works as a designer in her past life) and he accepts her request. As Nerissa gets busier with the workshop, Adel feels empty. In a corner of her heart, she wants her relationship with Nerissa back like the old day, but she doesn't like the way Nerissa talks behind her back after knowing the truth. Roberto actually knew what Nerissa had done in the past but did not give a clue to Adel as he wants Adel knows by herself, as long as Nerissa doesn't hurt her. Roberto goes to Nerissa's workshop in stealth mode to remind her not to hurt Adel. Nerissa tells him that he can watch her as she has changed from her old self. Roberto looks at her sketchbook (she makes transportation sketches like bicycle and car) and he is interested. Nerissa shut herself in the workshop but duke and Adel want her to do her basic job as a noble. She attends the birthday banquet of a noble and realizes if she falls for Roberto. She tries to suppress her feelings as she doesn't want to end villainess like OG Nerissa. She tries to clarify her past action as her inferiority complex towards Adel but it gets a bad response from other nobles. Her image fell to rock bottom after that. When she attends a hunting competition, she gets lost as walks into the forest (she forgets if she doesn't have a modern map apk). Adel and Roberto split up to search but Roberto finds her first. This makes other noble ladies think that is Nerissa's plot to get Roberto's attention. Roberto finds out that the current Nerissa is afraid to ride horses and asks Adel about that. Adel tells him that she pretends to be okay before and thinks she needs ro talk with Nerissa about this matter later. Adel and Nerissa talks about Nerissa's condition. Nerissa tells her that in her return, she lost some of her past skills as punishment for her sin in previous life. Later Adel wants to repair her relationship with Nerissa and she accepts it. Adel orders friendship rings with gold (as Adel's blonde hair color) and black stone (as Nerissa's eye color). She shows how good her relationship with Nerissa is in front of Roberto, show the friendship rings, and asks Nerissa to show her sketchbook to Roberto. Nerissa and Roberto keep their meeting in the workshop a secret from Adel and make it look like this is the first time Roberto looks at her sketchbook. Roberto is still interested in Nerissa's sketchbook even after going back to his work. As Jo-yeon hates the transportation which shook much in that era (also hates riding horses), she focuses on fixing that problem. Her first project for the workshop is a wood tricycle. Roberto goes into stealth mode and wants to try the tricycle but is rejected by Nerissa with the context that she needs to test drive the safety issue first. Later Nerissa makes a proposal to the duke to fund some free tricycle to commoner as a method to introduce tricycle. She also makes the upgrade version with better and more expensive wood material and finishing to nobility. They show the upgraded version to the imperial family first. Roberto finally can test drive the tricycle (after being rejected by Nerissa several times). His face looks very happy when ride the tricycle. Adel is confused as she sees Roberto's face this bright for the first time in her life (he never looks that happy in front of her) and wonders when they will be lovers as Nerissa had said before. Roberto makes a big purchase. He gives the tricycle to his worker and provides a place to park the tricycle in his palace grounds. As the business succeeds, they expand the business, so the duke and Nerissa sign a contract for the future of the workshop. The duke isn't pressuring her too much about her duty as noble anymore, as now he knows she has more value in her workshop, as long as she does the bare minimum as a noble. Even though she is successful in her business, her reputation in the social world is still at rock bottom, as many noble ladies still think she tries to be close to Roberto using different ways from normal noble ladies. Adel is sad with this fact, but she only manages it half way in the end as she is also thinking about the possibility of Nerissa and Roberto getting closer and she feels Roberto is far from a lover that Nerissa had told her before. Adel wonders when herself and Roberto will be lovers with his current attitude. As Nerissa prepares her new work (baby carriage and walking aid) and looks for new material (rubber and aluminum), Roberto gets more interested in her. He goes to the workshop in stealth mode several times (Nerissa and Roberto still hide this fact) and helps her to find the new material (asks the university professor to help). Nerissa keeps her feelings. Roberto later realizes his feelings towards Nerissa in bis birthday party when he sees Nerissa talk with another noble guy (the guy proposes a marriage but does it in a bad way, thinking he helps a bad reputation woman by marrying her). As he realizes his true feelings, Roberto regrets he had accepted Adel's request to go together to the festival (he was captured by Adele's story that she and Nerissa had gone to the festival together in the past). Roberto and Adel make Nerissa's workshop as their meeting point to go to the festival. Nerissa tells them to use only a horse together, as it will be difficult because of the crowd but he rejects it. Even though Roberto and Adel try to dress as commoner, their dignity reveals that they are nobles who play to enjoy the festival, so the merchants act good in front of them and raise their price to get a better profit. Roberto realized it so he couldn't enjoy the festival very much. Adel tries to make him interested in the festival but can't get the result she wants. Roberto buys a couple bracelets for Adel (she said she will give the other one when she finds someone she loves, not revealing her feelings towards Roberto) and a white dream catcher (somehow the seller talks about magic catching him to buy it). Roberto escorts Adel back to her family mansion. Robert gives the dream catcher to Nerissa the other day, telling her that he just bought it but needs to let it go as it's not fit with the palace. Nerissa, who made a blue dreamcatcher for Roberto's birthday gift, but plans to only store it without giving it to Roberto, finally gives her gift to him, tells him that she made something similar to pass a time so she only needs one. Roberto likes her gift, placing it in his bed post and wonders if the blue color looks similar with his eyes color, but tries to erase to give a meaning to her gift. Nerissa hangs the white dream catcher for a short time then stores it again, as it will be dangerous if Adel finds out Roberto gave her the dream catcher he had bought with Adel before. Later Roberto tells Nerissa that he hangs her dream catcher in his bedpost and asks how she manages to handle his gift but he regrets asking because he realizes Nerissa's circumstance. Roberto invites Nerissa to discuss about new material. Nerissa goes to his palace alone this time, without the duke and Adel. Roberto and Nerissa go to university to meet a professor to talk about a new metal material (similar material with Aluminium). They also meet a famous blacksmith (Adel gives Roberto an absword from the same blacksmith as his birthday present) as he also knew about mixing metal better than the professor. They later meet another professor as she needs to talk about the possibility of making rubber as a more practical use in her future work and raise the value. Roberto is interested in her idea and asks what he needs to do. Nerissa tells him to secure rubber material. Roberto plans to do as Nerissa had said and wants to plan a trip with her to look at the rubber supplier. As the rubber supplier far from the capital, Roberto also invites the professor to go together with him and Nerissa (to prevent the talk about him and Nerissa). Roberto finds out Nerissa is not good at traveling for a long time and makes her drink motion sickness medicine which has a sleeping effect. He gives his lap for her to sleep and tells the professor not to tell what he sees to others. The professor has a hunch about what happened and follows Roberto's order. They take a rest in the inn at night. As she had slept too much in the carriage, Nerissa couldn't sleep at night. She goes to Roberto's room to thanks for his help. When Roberto realizes Nerissa has a talk with his escort, he drags her into his room. Roberto reminds her that he is a man. Many women want to get close to him, even some of them literally throw their bodies at him. He was too lazy to drive the women who threw themselves just to have fun so he accepted them (Yes, he slept with them. He also gives this clue to Adel before). They look at rubber tree forest and the way the supplier handles the material. Nerissa tells them about the possibility of rubber wide use if they can mix it with other material. She also tells them about the possibility of making it as a contraception tool (lol). The host makes a banquet for them. Roberto takes a walk with drunken Nerissa. He wants to seduce her but chooses to get as much as information from her in her drunken stage. He finds out Nerissa wants to keep her promise to Adel and Roberto, not to covet what Adel has. He is sad he made her promise like that in the past. He takes the sleeping Nerissa back to her room. He thinks to kiss her lips but has not done it, as he realizes it won't end by just a kiss (he will want to do more than that if he kisses her). The professor asks Roberto about what he will do, as he can see Roberto's feelings towards Nerissa and everyone knows about the marriage talk between Roberto and Adel from a long time, as emperor and duke are close friends and want their children to marry. Roberto reminds the professor to keep it a secret. Roberto drops Nerissa first when they return to the capital. As Nerissa is still asleep under the medicinal effect, Roberto's escort holds her from the carriage into her room. Roberto is swearing inside, as he can't hold her in front of others. He doesn't want another man to take his woman or anyone get a wrong clue thinking Nerissa and his escort have a relationship. The empress takes a liking for Adel for a long time. She invites Adel to have a tea party with her. The empress reminds her to not harbor too much feelings or beg for love from Roberto and tells her how many women approach him and their method. He wants Adel as a perfect empress in the future (as perfect as herself), no matter what Roberto does as the emperor will hurt her. Adel tries to hide her feelings towards Roberto in front of the empress. Nerissa gets her first paycheck from duke as their first sharing profit. As she died before she got her first paycheck in her previous life, she thinks this is really her first paycheck. She thinks about what she wants to do with it. She tries to loot at jewelry or clothes first, but is not too fond of them. At last she uses the money to buy a small house. She plans to live independently and comes to the duke's mansion once or twice at times. As Nerissa realizes Adel's complexion about her future with Roberto, and she needs to suppress her own feelings towards the same person, Nerissa tries her best to not meet Roberto as much as possible. She even closes the workshop earlier (Roberto usually comes to the workshop at night after all the workers left). Roberto realizes that Nerissa avoids him. He tells his escort to inform Nerissa that he wants to meet her. He is afraid she avoids him because he offered her to sleep with him before. At a point Roberto reveals his feelings towards Nerissa and kisses her fiercely. He tells her that she can push him if she doesn't like it. He kisses her again affectionately and Nerissa does not push him. Nerissa tells him to keep their relationship a secret, only his escort knows and he accepts it. They did it (you know what I mean) the other day in her own house for the first time. Nerissa, Roberto, duke, emperor, and the professors have a meeting with foreign envoy (prince from another country) to discuss aluminum processing. The prince shows his interest towards Nerissa and gives her his card. He tells her that she can contact him if she wants to free herself from the duke in the future. Roberto, burned with jealousy, pushed her and did it in the empty meeting room in the short break time. Roberto invites Adel for a meeting. He tells her that he can't love her, even if they marry. So he wants her to stop the marriage talk. Adel still clings to him and asks him to escort her to her birthday party. Roberto accepts it with the intention to ruin it when they have the first dance. He provokes her by telling that she is not different from any woman who wants his affection. Adel, broken heart, leaves him in the middle of the dance. The others who don't know what they talk about, think that Adel is the one who is rude to Roberto (leaving your partner in the middle of a dance counts as a rude thing). Nerissa asks the duke to chase her (as she can't chase her, guilt for her affair with Roberto). Nerissa tries to lighten up the party by introducing the new work of her workshop, a kickboard. Roberto is amazed by the way Nerissa handles the mess he had made. Adel tells the duke to back to the party as the host can't let the party empty (she also doesn't want Nerissa takes the credit to clear the messed up party). Roberto has a talk with the duke, tells him that he doesn't want to continue the marriage talk between him and Adele, so he tells him to cancel the marriage talk. The duke actually only thinks about Adel's happiness, so he will leave the decision to Adel. As the rubber development gets on the bright side, Nerissa tries to develop tire. In the middle of the development, the empress comes and warns her about her relationship with Roberto (the empress has spies check about the one who Roberto has a relationship with). Nerissa, afraid of the empress, lies that she has a relationship with Roberto's escort, not Roberto. The Empress wants the proof, so she gives her a week to spread rumors about her marriage talk with the escort knight. Nerissa tries to talk with Roberto's escort knight about what happened. She apologizes for dragging him to her affair with Roberto. As Nerissa tells him that she doesn't have a plan to marry Roberto (as she has promised to Adel before), the escort knight accepts the marriage plan, as it can keep her safe from the empress. That plan might get Roberto's wrath, so Nerissa tells the escort knight to blame her if Roberto is mad at him. She also apologizes for ruining his future with this marriage talk, but he replies that arranged marriage is a common thing for a noble and he might not have other marriage talk other than her offer (he's famous for being as stoic as wood). Nerissa and the escort knight don't waste the time and work for it at the same time. Nerissa tells the duke and Adel about the marriage plan between herself and Roberto's escort knight. She also tells Adel separately that the empress thinks that Nerissa is the cause of Roberto dragging the marriage talk with Adel, so she wants Adel to help spread the marriage talk between Nerissa and Adel. Adel spread the rumor in a day (she brightened up, as Nerissa will marry Roberto's escort knight, she won't be a stumbling block between her and Roberto). The escort knight also tells Roberto about what happened in the same days. Roberto asks the escort knight about his decision. He replies that he follows Nerissa's plan. Roberto is mad at him and beats him, telling him to tell Nerissa to cancel the marriage talk, but the escort knight asks him if Roberto really wants to lock up Nerissa. Roberto, out of rage, tells him that he is now his escort knight from now on. The escort knight leaves his room. Roberto tries to talk to Nerissa later, but she rejects him. She can't trust him to handle this matter. On the day Nerissa and the duke demonstrate to the emperor about the tire, Roberto offers himself to try it first. As he had tried the tricycle for the first time in front of the emperor before, the emperor let him try the carriage with the tire first. Nerissa, afraid of Roberto out of control, tells him to keep the speed as normal carriage runs. Roberto replies coldly. He is amazed by how smooth the carriage is running, but as his emotions run out because Nerissa rejected him before, he orders the driver to speed up more and more out of control, forgetting about Nerissa's warning and creating an accident. Roberto's escort knight saves him with the cost of his life (the escort knight who will marry Nerissa dies). The demonstration fails so the development of the tire is on hold. The duke is holding his anger as Roberto destroys him twice (makes Adel sad and mess up with his business, also kill Nerissa's fiance in the process). Roberto is sad with his escort knight death but relieved at the same time as Nerissa won't marry. The empress takes this opportunity to blame Nerissa and asks the emperor to throw them outside the capital. Roberto tells the emperor if the accident was because of him not taking Nerissa's warning. The Emperor wants them to shut up, as he needs time to make a decision. Roberto and empress' relationship grow colder from that time. The emperor discusses the incident with the duke. The duke already knows the imperial family will blame someone to take responsibility and want Nerissa out of the capital. Nerissa accepts this fact and offers herself to leave first before the final decision. She packs her luggage in her workshop. Adel approaches her at that time and she looks at the white dream catcher then asks Nerissa about it. Roberto also comes to the workshop after Adel and listens to their talk. Nerissa, already tired with all that happened, tells the truth to Adel that this world is actually a novel with Adel and Roberto as main characters, also the fact Nerissa is a villain and she is someone from another world who possessed Nerissa's body after Adel returned to the past. Roberto approaches them and tells them that he loves Nerissa. Nerissa leaves them after that. Roberto approaches Nerissa, tells her that if she wants to leave the capital, she can go to a territory that is outside of the duke's influence and do what she wants to do there. Roberto tells her that he will prove that he is not a character in the novel she read, but actually someone who loves her. Adel tells the duke about Nerissa and Roberto. The duke feels betrayed and mad at Nerissa, calls his lawyer to cut the relationship and business contract with Nerissa. He orders the lawyer to find Nerissa and make her sign the document, and also takes her sketchbook. Nerissa does as the dukes want and asks the lawyer if the duke will try to kill her later. Nerissa visits one of her trusted coworker, tells him about her condition and gives him her house key as compensation as he is also fired. Her coworker helped her to reach the capital's border. Nerissa, doesn't know what to do, decides to go to the territory Roberto had mentioned before. She goes to the inn there and someone (He is a Marquis in the MTL, but sometimes the MTL result addresses him as count when Nerissa talks with him) approaches her and later tells her that Roberto asks him to find Nerissa. Roberto has a plan to develop the tire and Nerissa's other project from that place. Roberto and the professors from the capital exchange letters with the marquis and Nerissa to continue the projects secretly. Time passes around 2-3 years like that. As what Nerissa had done improves the life in the Marquis territory, and the prince from another country (the one who gave his card to Nerissa before) tries to covet Nerissa to moves to his country, Roberto gives the report to the emperor and asks him to rewards Nerissa with a new noble title. The emperor invites Nerissa to the capital for the ceremony. Nerissa hesitates but the marquis tells her to not be afraid of the duke, as she goes to the capital by emperor's order. The marquis and marchioness also plan a trip to the capital, as the marchioness actually lived quite a long time before marrying the maquis. Nerissa is glad as she has companions to go to the capital. Marquis' couples and Nerissa's carriages enter the capital and attract the capital's citizens as the carriages use tires. The royal knights come to escort them to the palace. Roberto prepares Nerissa's room with the best view in his palace. The emperor and Roberto invite Nerissa and the marquis couples for a tea. Roberto tells the marquis couples that the empress will invite them to a tea party separately (as the empress still doesn't like Nerissa). Adel approaches Nerissa and tells her that she wants to fix their relationship, even though her father still resents Nerissa. Nerissa gets a title as Baron Amelia and Roberto propose to her. He tells her that she can focus on her workshop work after marriage (he made a workshop for her inside his palace grounds) as her works improve the life of the citizens. She accepted the proposal but delayed the marriage for several months and went back to marquis territory for some time to finish her job. Nerissa tries to accept her current life as her happy ending and works to make her life and other life happy. The empress asks the emperor about Nerissa's pregnancy just a month after the marriage. The emperor tells Roberto so he asks Adel to inform him if there's a bad rumor circulating about Nerissa. Nerissa knows about the empress' question, so she tells Roberto that they need to work to get pregnant (she digs her own grave lol). Nerissa and Roberto get a proper date, watch a concert for the first time. Adel also watches the concert with the second son of a duke from another kingdom (they connect via the prince from another kingdom's relation). Adel's partner tells her that even though they connect via arranged marriage, they can pursue their own happiness. Roberto and Nerissa send a bottle of wine for Adel and her partner then they greet each other after the concert finishes. The noble society heat up by the rumor about Adel's engagement plan. As the introduction of Nerissa's new work clashes with Adel's engagement, Adel pushes back her engagement. At Adel's engagement, Nerissa gives sketches of Adel with modern dresses in her original world as present. Robert and Nerissa find out about Nerissa's pregnancy in the engagement party. They wait several days to check if she is really pregnant. Nerissa tells Adel about her pregnancy when she comes to the palace to thank Nerissa for the engagement gift, before informing it in the cabinet meeting. Adel is glad when Nerissa tells her first. Nerissa can't attend Adel's wedding because of her pregnancy, so Robert attends it with the empress. On the way back to the palace, the empress asks Roberto to receive her as she is and she tells him that she wants to get close to her grandchildren in the future. Roberto tells her that he can't let his family go to her palace, but she can go to his palace to meet his family. They try to fix their relationship step by step. The empress wants to give a playground to her grandchildren, so she tells Nerissa to tell her when she wants to make the playground. Nerissa chooses a location that can be accessed by other children (near the knight training ground) so her children can have friends to play together in the future and design the playground. She gives birth to a princess as the first children. Adel also gets pregnant later.

Spoiler: Random thoughts of mine about this story Honestly I find ML quite unlikeable, while I like dynamics between Adel and Nerissa, it feels somewhat off on Nerissa's part. I mean, the Nerissa here hasn't done anything wrong and basically was a bystander to all of it. So her being so apolegeric and forgiving to Adel at every occasion seems a bit unreal. It wouldn't have been strange for her to hold a little grudge against the duke's family after being chased off the capital city. Ik she went back against her initial promise to Adel but that isnt all her fault entirely. Some of the blame lies with Robert who just seems like a narrow-minded fool on most of these occasions. Constantly bothering her even when he already knew of the predicament she was in. He could have handled his emtions better and shouldn't have made such a mess of things just because of his possessive thoughts. He plays the part of spoiled prince who's driven by his emotions rather than rationality so well. I dislike the way he discarded Adel the most. Honestly Adel deserves better, even Nerissa. But ig all is fair in love even if you're a douche.
You're welcome. Adel's character quite interesting here. In her past life she liked Nerissa without knowing what Nerissa had done behind her back. After she died, she resent Nerissa and want to avenge her, but as Nerissa told her she also regressed because of bad end at her side, she feels both of them special as only both of them know how hard it felt to die and change. As Nerissa grow distant from her because she choose the different path from Adele (stop all noble lady activity and focus on workshop), Adel feels she lost her alter ego (Nerissa alway by her side before) and asks about her own life meaning as Nerissa success in her business. After know the truth about the novel and the current Nerissa is different soul from the previous Nerissa, Adel never calls her "Nell" like before / the previous Nerissa, but calls her "Nerissa". She tries not to resent her as resentment just exhaust her as it consume a lot of power and emotions. And the best part of Adel, she tries to move on, get other man as her partner, not chase after Roberto again. Glad she get a good partner that suits her. About Nerissa, maybe we feel she's off because even she loves Roberto, she has hope to back to her previous world after finishing her task in the current world. She's not have much attachment to Adel as she is different from the previous Nerissa. When she run outside the capital, she already feels that she wants to quit the damn novel. She just go to the place Roberto told her as she doesn't have any place to go. Well, Roberto not quite mature I think. I can't comment much about his character. I forgot to mention in the spoiler. After Nerissa left outside capital, he falls sick but doesn't want to get treatment. He only wants to get treatment if his engagement plan with Adel broke off. Adel knows that fact from the empress and asks for an audience with him, gives a note that she will tell him about the original. Roberto accept her request because of her note. Adel tells him the truth about what happen when Nerissa runaway from duke's mansion for the first time and their talk about regression. Roberto lost his will to life. Adel look at his condition, halfway she doesn't want herself as the cause of his death, halfway she loves him and doesn't want him to die, so Adel break off the engagement talk. Roberto start his plan to get Nerissa back to the capital after that (working together with the marquis and professors as mentioned inthe spoiler above).
Thanks again for explaining things so well. I do like both Nerissa and Adel. Just don't like the childish ML. Still, it was a pretty good story. Feels fresh compared to usual troupes of either painting original female lead in a negative light or just making even the original female lead fall for the MC. Both of those troupes are pretty overused. So this feels more fresh and entertaining.
I believe these female characters are at their best when the douchebag manchild ML Roberto isn't in the picture at all. The love triangle in this story was just a disservice to both Adel & Nerissa. I like to see complicated strong female friendship overcoming many obstacles like in the tv show Dead To Me. Really wish the FMCs in this story would not waster their time and energy agonizing over this one particular stalker! (Bakarina's Main Love-Interest is unfortunately the blonde royal prince) + The Antagonist's Pet + Kingdom of The Queen + THIS ISEKAI MAID IS FORMING A UNION! are setting a high bar of healthy uplifting Female Alliance/Companionship/Friendship/Womance and not caring about Princes & Dukes. Coincidently these stories happen to have a queer lesbian vibe... When I hear the name 'Nerissa', it immediately reminds me of the interesting threatening cunning villain Nerissa from the tv animated show (that is better than Winx Club) W.I.T.C.H.. Spoiler: Nerissa (W.I.T.C.H.) Image Pardon me, but Joo-yeon/Nerissa seems to be inferior as a character than Yoo Sia/Fake Elizabeth (Even The Villainess Wants To Be Happy). I don't find her very appealing + subversive and Adel appears to have more strenght/nuances than her. I make this comparison because they come from the same author. I also noticed when a Good Nice Girl from Modern South Korea possessed the body of a Vicious Villainess, she always behaves so apologetic, helpless, subservient, docile and more tame than the OG Host. On the other hand the Strong Bold Dominant No-nonsense South Korean Girl often becomes a Girlboss/Boss Lady, if the OG Host is actually weak, a true victim or just misunderstood.
Yoo Sia and Gerard are my most fav character from all of the author's work so far. Hestia and Caelus from FMDF is in my second place. Remember I always feels the way author works feel like each other alternate version? What I feel about Nerissa, she is like lighter version of Hestia. There are several comment from readers when Hestia in her lowest and think about to jump to back to her world. Some of comment mention why Hestia not choose to leave / divorce Cael and go to Attica by herself. Surprisingly, Nerissa is the one who takes that path (remember this novel released after FMDF). Nerissa at her lowest want to quit 'this novel' so she leaves Roberto and the capital (even though she's back to him in the end). Both Hestia and Nerissa also makes sketch about what they know in modern life but not available in their current life. Hestia opens workshop producing soap and Nerissa opens workshop producing transportation etc. Adel's vibe almost similar to the woman who loves but rejected by ML in the Francis (sorry, I forgot her name) but Adel's character is more mature. The different path is, Adel clear her feelings and try to continue her life after know she can't cling to Roberto anymore - she's glad with her new companion, but the other one cling to her feeling toward ML then in the end forced herself to move on after know the ML married the MC and he apologized - but I can't feel any romantic vibe between her and her new companion.
Good observation about these stories being alternative versions to each others! And considering some of visual similarities between specific main characters... Or the author just like using the typical classic overused FanRom FL + ML Look/Appearance that anyone can easily recognize. DTVAOAW is definitively weaker than the writer's previous works. The only best thing of this story is Adel who is done dirty by Roberto. Does anyone gets actually angry at ML Roberto??? I imagine Hestia and Sia would not allow this dick prince dwelling freely in their lives. Kinda wish Adel would replace Madelaine in ETVWTBH, then we have three maturing women not giving a damn about the OG Sad Boy Manchild ML anymore

The Duke still hostile towards Nerissa and Roberto but Adel make sure he will not do harm thing to them. He decline the business proposal from their vassal. Yes, she got her design back. Adel gave back her design as a thanks for her engagement gift (Nerissa drew a collection of Adel's sketch wearing modern dress). The Duke only stored her design book as only Nerissa who can understand her sketch well.
The author is Kim Seonyu. Joara is a place looks like Wattpad in Korea to read novel. This author in the past normally post her works in there first, before picked up by publisher. When her works picked up, she will delete the remaining chapter, only leaving several starting chapter and informing where we can read the rest (Naver/Ridibook/Kakaopage). But now, it looks like she had put everything that had been picked up and published elsewhere in under study category in Joara, so we can't access it in Joara anymore, except one of her work that still remain there because it is still not picked up by publisher. This works is in Naver and Ridi. There are a lot of comment said this work feels lighter than her other works. Did the original Nell and Roberto ended up as partners as you said they'd a 'happy ending' (which was watched by Adele from the sidelines) in the first timeline? It's not explained, because Nell didn't digging further about this matter to Adel. Nell explains to Adel that the ending she saw different with what Adel saw because Adel already return to the past and avenge Nell. Nell (Joo-yeon) acted differently. Too much different to the point everyone suspicious of her, thinking if she really repent for her past action or she tries a new way to get ML's attention. She cut out all gathering, only attends if the duke or Adel telling her to go, and focused on her workshop. Roberto interested with her sketches at first, as he actually like to creating something but give up as he has more responsibility as crown prince. So he comes to her workshop secretly several times and start developing feelings for her. No mention or explanation about Og Nell's soul.
I apologise You're right, I see too much of Joara (just read a blog of a novel a few hours ago) that it etched into my brain. I think there are other authors such as her too right? Also is Joara free to read on, as far as I remember, I once read a free book (an author was writing) but I forgot what the website was it. I see I see. Is this Kim Seonyo's first work or something? Because if it is not, this one is not par with her other works. I think she either wrote it experimentally or she wanted to take a break from all that heavy-angsty works and publish something lighter.

Yes, normally authors take this way to introduce their work. Surprisingly, this is her 6 of 7 published work. Yeah, maybe experimentally or want to take a break from the angst, as this one actually published in the same year, 4 moth after FMDF. I feel her style back in her 7th work, 망했다, 남캐에 빙의하다니! , as I feel it quite overlaps with FMDF, as she gives a line like 'reader comment about doesn't like the ending' in one of the character. And, somehow, some of ML's POV here fells like it also fit with FMDF if the author gives us Cael's POV.
