MC fell in love again to ML. ML fell in love when she's back after 5 years (He was cold and arrogant to her before, think he deserve her love because who he is).
So why did he break up with her? Had he always been in love with her but didn’t realize until she came back or only fell in love with her after coming back? How is he gonna be redeemed?
They engaged by family for political purpose. ML family's background more to military, so engaged to MC family who strong in administration. Aside of that, MC loves ML, pouring out all her loves even though his cold attitude to her. She had arrogant personality in their engagement time (brag about her fiance so much). In her 19th birthday (around 1 year engagement), the villainess (sorry, I forgot her name ) confess to ML in MC's garden, MC saw it. MC confronts the villainess in her birthday party, create some commotion by throwing wine to the villainess (the villainess said to her if ML had said he not love MC, so she still had a chance to approach him). ML who doesn't know the detail get angry whe he saw the scene in front of his eyes, he tear the birthday present he prepared before (diamond necklace) and said he dissapointed as her fiance then leaves the party with the villainess. MC broken heart, asks her parent to break the engagement secretly. Morning after the mess, her family sent break up engagement letter to ML's family. ML and his parents go to her house to apologize, but MC already went to other kingdom with broken heart, take study at academy as excuse, her father said MC will never back again. MC actually back 5 year later after she under graduate. ML's life is a mess after break up. He think when everything goes wrong. The villain approach ML after know the break up, but he's not paying attention to her. From that time he get serious mental problem, he act like a robot (and get "automata" as his nickname), always hard to breath everytime he goes to a banquet. He can breath again everytime he take a walks the same path with what MC and ML take when they enganged before. ML saw MC after 5 years when he take a walk like that. Later ML apologize to MC. so this is like flipped (2010) but with more drama, and without the teenybopper fluff, and the chicken-salmonella fight, and none of the date auction, and most definitely lacking the sweet tree planting resolution. i still kinda like it lol @mayairreal you weren’t lying, leo is literally like raymond except the whole mistress is actually just a friend thing lmaoooo
I feel like the author makes alternate story / ending from one big plot of story by twisting some part.
a wtf plot twist would be if seonyu revealed all of her stories exist in the same world. like lucid dreaming/feelings in a dream. now that would be a complete 180 mindfuck lol im not complaining though….truly regretful and pitiful mls choosing to pine over fl and being helpless is one of my guilty pleasure tropes..i love when they undergo a big personality change along the way too and not only do they treat fl better they treat other people better….i just love it when people who are truly irredeemable get their asses kicked and people who are completely sorry for their wrongdoings get their redemption because everyone deserves it…..i just want everybody to be happy!!! but not if they don’t become good people through and through.
