Hi guys im trying really hard to remember which novel this is: -MC and ML are a couple -Somehow MC gets memories I think in a dream and realizes ML keeps believing fake white lotus -At a banquet MC slaps a fake white lotus boy who likes ML and ML thinks its his fault, tells him to apologize or they will breakup. (ML thinks Mc will apologize and then later apologizes on behalf for MC because thinks too willful to slap someone) - ML thinks MC who loves him will understand -Think MC returns a ring to the ML -ML realizes later he was wrong and one sided - some uncle/older man tells ML that because ML treats MC as his own he is extra strict (how everyone is extra strict with their own child) and that is wrong -Later MC forgives ML sorry for the long description, if anyone knows this novel thank you so much!!!!!!!
Are you sure about your spoilers? Because some of them reminds me a story I read (the slap on the banquet, ML forces MC to apologize and MC giving the ring back to ML) but it doesn't fit the rest (the oncle part and MC who forgives ML). So do you remember if the white lotus was MC cousin? Does ML mother despite MC? Does MC work in a video game company ?

Sorry I have read the novel a long time ago. It took me a while to find it again. Like Sanrsl said, it is the same novel called After the Cannon fodder was reborn. You can find it on Wattpad. To be more precise, here the ML I was talking about is the OGML not the current ML.
I thought maybe you were talking about 'After the Tool Man quits.' 工具人不干了（穿书） I think I remember there being a scene like that in that novel, but the ml isn't the (ex)boyfriend, the mc ends up not going back to him after the threat and ends up with the ml who is an older guy who is the exbf 's rival or something like that?
