Summary: When the talented imperial wizard Nisha makes an unconventional deal with King Frei, she goes on a mission to lift the curse of the Grand Duke of the North, Lanfel Delore! Turns out that the dark and handsome Duke Lanfel isn't as strong as he appears to be, and it seems like the freezing gray days of winter is a bit too much for the Duke's frail body. While Nisha does her research around the Duke's manor to lift his curse, she simultaneously becomes his caretaker. Spoiler: ML Black haired duke ie Duke Lanfel Spoiler: Why MC was sent to the North She suddenly remembered her past life while eating a desert that reminded her of rice cakes and that she's currently in a book just before the plot happened so she took off for a year and returned just as plot finished so novel's male lead i.e. king was suspicious of the timing and got her to try and solve the "curse" of the northern duke aka our ML Spoiler: Curse Not really a curse but as the villainess died cursing our Duke, rumours spread and King wanted to make sure it was just rumours... although with stories like these, it's not unheard of for there to actually be a curse Spoiler: First confession Our Duke overheard our FL telling the King she wanted to come back to her lab at the palace so he avoided her to stop himself from trying to make her stay.Our girl got annoyed that the duke was avoiding her so thanks to some maids, tried to get him drunk so he can tell her the reason. Instead, she gets drunk and forced him to confess and they made out Spoiler: First XXX scene Duke was overworking because he found out his family died due to a ring (attracted monsters) he was given by the villainess aka deceased queen, and our girl decided to force him to take a break at the festival that was happening. Duke basically was unbeatable and at the end of the date confessed to each other and the day ended with some hanky panky Spoiler: Antagonist Villainess's son (red hair) aka half brother to story's ML (King)... was mistreated by villainess growing up because he didn't have powers but got powers when she died and wanted to finish her work in taking over the throne Spoiler: First encounter of our girl and the duke Our girl gave duke a magic scarf that has a heating spell when he ran away after his family was attacked. She tried to look for her mentor to save him but he was saved by his people before she returned. She never remembered it till the butler mentioned something of it
