I can't help but notice that almost all novels that have a title like "I derailed the plot to save ny favourite character" or such have the harem tag. It's just weird. I'd except it to be 1 x 1 by that title.
Hmm, I've had the same questions whenever I see a title like "My CEO Wife" (or similar) and see a polygamy tag. Like, what?
I don't think that it's strange at all once you understand what those titles represent. They're not about exploring the relationship in the title. Instead they're inherently harem stories and the title is just there to catch the reader's attention by presenting the most one that's the most eye-catching. It's a similar concept to how you'll see Romance novels which talk up how cool the female protagonist is just for her to get neutered as soon as the male love interest shows up and takes over the story.
How about the opposites? Is there any novel that seemed to head toward harem but ended as 1v1? I've found a few, but some of them is 1v2. (which is still acceptable to me)
Ah this is sad too, "where is the promised harem?" Some stories from jjwcx give spoiler if MC got 1v1, 1v2 and that is very helpful! I wish japanese novel does that too
In fact, at the beginning there is an indication that it is a harem or 1v1, not to be angry, the most annoying thing is to look at it and find out that it is a harem
I'm agree, beside this when I read horror / crime / tension stuff (premise story + no romance tag) and find out that novel (after reading a lot of chapter) is romance centered annoyed me Not that I hate romance but.. Im expecting horror stuff not romance
The genre labels on NU tend to be unreliable, but the Romance label tends to be pretty good; at least when it comes to books with female protagonists. In these, you have to always expect that the romance aspect will take over the story regardless of whatever else is in the story. Most of the time this central relationship will ruin everything else the book has going for it, but it just means that you should prepare to bail at the first sign of trouble.
Yeahh that's true but I once find horror novel not tagged as romance.. The premise is good but.. it end up as romance In middle of exorcising "ML" is jealous Spoiling the tense and scary feeling I wish NU has no romance / No CP tag, the type that will surely have no romance /No CP (mc) in it , but this is counted as redudant type "You could exclude romance tag so you dont get romance" while it is true, sometimes this type can evolve into romance midway No CP / no couple is a tag from jjwcx that defined this novel mc will not end up with someone, even someone liking them They will stay single. This tag is good for haremlike mc but end up with nobody, or QT that act they look like have romance with someone but it was all acting
got any good male!protag het ones you can recommend? 1v2 is something i dont think i've seen before (at least not in a long time) so im intrigued and i need something fresh to read.
