Does anyone know why the mom seems to think that "Princess Barath," i.e. someone related to the Barath Duchy, is big trouble? Knowing Nobility Circus Shenanigans, I think the Barath Duchy will press for an engagement between Princess Barath and the Crown Prince but are there any spoilers regarding her personality?

Also in these types of regression novels: abuse, PTSD, and the long-term effects of such treatment are often handwaved for the sake of the plot. Don't take the lack of proper address and consequences seriously or you'll just burn out your motivation to read Lyrica's adventures. At the end of the day, it's fiction, and nobody was really hurt except the hands of the artist who drew it. But if you notice that there's something similar going on IRL, it's just a moral requirement to try and stage an intervention, or square up with said abusers. "Lady Ebony" was a good manhwa/novel with a similar premise: the MC is a victim of domestic abuse too.

On a similar tangent, while some kids are self-aware enough from a young age that their parents are shite and don't really care for them, most kids at Lyrica's age (est. 5~10 y.o.), are still very much emotionally attached and dependent on their parents. So it's quite difficult for them to process that the abuse they're experiencing at the hands of their parents is pretty much "abnormal." Weirder still is that some people just remember it as "tough love" when they're older; until they relate that experience to a third party who goes "Dude, that's child abuse, wtf." and that kickstarts the brain gears to start reviewing their childhood in another light.

 

Abuse and psychological damage are kind of a damned if you do, damned if you do not. either you had wave i and people like you complain, or you treat it realistically and people complain about the characer being nuts/weak/an idiot/a coward/etc since to many readers do not unerstand trauma or how long it takes to actually heal

 

Totally, I was watching Kotaru lives alone and I feel like that is a perfect example of this.
Kotaru's father is hinted to be a abusive alcoholic but Kotaru still hopes to be a family with him one day. Kotaru feels guilty for getting his father into trouble (he got arrested for DA). Like as a adult from a unbiased view, we see that and we know that the dad is unfit to be a parent but Kotaru doesn't. Kotaru is traumatized by his father but that doesn't stop him from loving the man.

I feel like sometimes people, and especially kids, don't recognize toxic and abusive relationships. Its hard to recognize a behaviour is abnormal if that's all they've been ever experienced.

 

...I'm not complaining though? It's more of a warning to take fictional developments like that in stride. Some people get too passionate about unaddressed wrongs in the series that they wholly forget the whole of the story and burn themselves out in fuming. In this case, It's people forgetting that the whole is Lyrica's healing and finding people who actually love her not out of guilt, but because she's a lovable child.

Her mom is going to be tormented with guilt her whole (re)life since she led her child to death in her first life. It's going to eat away at her conscience at all times, or when Lyrica brings up being cheerfully sacrificed for happiness. That's good enough punishment for me.

 

Anyone have spoilers for what happened to the daughter in the first life? And how they made the bio dad pay for the debts in the 2nd life?

 

She was hanged for treason.
if I’m not mistaken, they made bio dad sign the divorce paper so his debt had to be paid by himself now and the mother is married into another family, therefore she has nothin to do with him anymore.

 

Anyone know the identity of the current emperor, the adopted father? Everyone said he's of an unknown origin. Is he actually the ancestor of the Takar or something?

Spoiler: Lyrica held hands with Fjord

So the emperor and lyrica was in the garden(i forgot the reason why)and turns out that the garden is a maze. The emperor used magic to disappear(the emperor doesnt have a bad intention, he just forgot that lyrica is new to the garden and so he used magic to easily left the garden and left lyrica alone)

When the emperor disappeared,lyrica wondered around the garden and Fjord showed up calling him "robin princess"(im not sure about this translation)

lyrica asked fjord if he knows the way out and fjord said yes and lyrica asked fjord to lead the way out

while theyre walking, lyrica held hands with fjord and fjord was shocked and lyrica noticed his expression.

Lyrica asked "Dont you like holding hands" and fjord answered "Princess only says things that can make me happy"

And thats only i can remember. Thry got out of the maze by Fjord's help and fjord told lyrica to not tell anyone that she saw him there.

I will update everyone abt Lyrica and fjord~~ of course he is our beautiful ml so i really look forward to their progress

So i just read the mtl version of chapter 30 of the novel

the emperor gave lyrica a land and lyrica went to her mother ans asked her to take care of the land that the emperor gave to lyrica.

the empress was shocked and asked lyrica if Lat is there and lyrica answered "Yes, he said congratulation".

then in the empress mind she said 'its better to keep an eye to Lat sandar' she also said in her mind 'Betrayer/traitor'

so is Lat a traitor??

i am only reading the novel by mtl and still in chapter 30, so idk if what i read is correct

Lyrica asked her mother if Fjord can be her companion, and the empress said she will deliver a letter to them again.

the empress asked lyrica what does she like about fjord and that barat family is gifted a 'good at bewitching people' (My brain is broken from reading mtl, so forgive me)

 

Please someone spoil me if the emperor and Lydia will have a child in the future?

Also, what happened to the side stories, specially to the side story 1? It is said that it's about the emperor and the empress. Can someone please spoil me more about their relationship? I'm so interested in their story.

Lyrica saw fjord in the secret garden again and fjord collapsed. Lyrica with the help of Bryn and Lauv they put fjord somewhere and tried to treat him and it turns out that fjord is being abused because of the scars he have, maybe the duke abused him with various weapons.

maybe this is connected to what the empress said that fjord will die in 3 years. Maybe he will die because of abused

Spoiler: Fjord sleeping with the princess

bryn, lauv and lyrica treated fjord and when fjord woke up, lyrica put fjord head on her shoulder and they both fell asleep together. In the morning, theyre all awake and suprisingly, Atil broke in the cabin and saw fjord. Hes mad again, lyrica tried to stop atil from fighting again but atil accidentaly slapped lyrica when he just want lyrica to not stop him. With that,lyrica fell and her tooth thats been swaying/broken also fell.

everyone is shocked to see lyrica with a bloody mouth. Fjord was also worried and atil blaned fjord.

fjord said "It wasnt me who hit the princess, its you!" Then they held each others collars

Lyrica chose Lauv because her intuition basically told her too

Spoiler: Lyrica poisoned

after fjord and lyrica moments in the lake, they went back to their houses and when lyrica ate the ice cream(she was with atil) her nose bled and she also vomited blood. Gladly atil was there and got to treat her with first aid. He knows what to do since he got poisoned many times.

The emperor eyes were raging when he visit lyrica and he asked Atil if hes fine and atil answered "yes"(this is heart warming)

Spoiler: Fjord reaction to hearing lyrica got poisoned and fjord with the duke

when fjord was walking upstairs to go to his room he heard someone talking that lyrica got poisoned. He stopped and he was like wanted to rush to the imperial palace. He turned around and talked to the man who was the one who said that lyrica got poisoned and asked "is that true?"

They talk abt something that i didnt understand bcs of the mtl. But thered a line "Barat is Barat"

fjord clenched his fist and remembered qhat lyrica told him in the lake.

"Dont break"(lyrica was like saying here, 'dont die' but she cant say that directly)

Later on, the duke of barat called fjord(Idk if its duke or duchess)

Fjord went in the dukes room, he saw some medicine on the table.

He asked the duke.

"Your excellency, have you heard the news about princess lyrica?"

the duke answered "Dont think of that useless thing"(im not sure about this part) and then the duke made fjord drink the some medicine that idk what is that medicine for.

then the duke said "Fjord, my firat masterpiece. You dont know how happy i was when i rescued you from your many failures, dont ruin my proud mood"

Fjord wanted to laugh and thought..

'I once wanted to be a good kid and let you feel proud until i found out that im just your masterpiece'

he then lay on the floor bcs of the pain he felt from the medicine and then he think of lyrica.

'My princess who speaks sweetly without selfishness'

'I want to see you'

He think of those words while fewling the pain. When the pain was gone the duke said "go and rest" and then fjord was thinking..

'If your masterpiece is broken, i wonder how will you feel?

However..'

He then remembered Lyrica's word at the lake 'dont break'

Spoiler: Spoiler of what i read so far(until chapter 63)

so i will summarize all the events that happened until chapter 63 of novel. But forgive me if i miss out some events or the events is not in order.

(Excuse my spelling errors*im only using a phone so its hard to type a perfect spellings* and my grammar)

1. So after the assassination attempt to atil(crown prince) lyrica cant sleep and asked bryn to call Atil, and she asked atil to sleep with her and atil agreed to that.

2. After that they should choose a guard but atil refused since he said the one who attempt to assasinate him, served him for 8 years. but lyrica said,leave it to het since lyrica have this kind of ability where some kind of alarm bell inside of her head when theres a danger near or a danger will happen. Atil believed and agreed to pick escort with lyrica. They went where the guards are and lyrica saw lauv, and the bell rang inside her head so she picked lauv and the bell stopped ringing.

3. Her mother went to her room after and got mad that she chose lauv because in first life, lauv run wild(lauv is a wolf) so shes scared that Lily might get hurt and suggest to change her escort but Lily refused. And she said "A mother doesnt want Lily who doesnt listen to her mother"Lily cried and later on her mother apologized and just agreed to let lauv be lily escort.

(i forgot next parts so lets fast forward)

4. So Lily and fjord got tea time together(remember in manhwa? Where lily asked her mother if fjord can teach her court...whats that again?) so anyway, while theyre having their tea, Atil just broke in and saw fjord. He got mad and said that fjord seduced his sister but fjord said he got invited. Atil punched fjord but fjord didnt fight back(i guess...? Hehe i forgot) Lily stopped them and fjord left.

5. Lily got a companion named Diare(Idk if this kid is a boy or a girl, the mtl is confusing me)

6. She asked her mother if Fjord can be her companion too and her mother said she will deliver a letter.

7. Atil gave lily the key to the secret garden.

8. Later she found fjord in the secret garden and Fjord said, the duke/duchess(once again idk if its a duke or duchess) said they dont want fjord to be the princess companion(im not sure about this whole part)

*fast forward*

9. Lily noticed her teeth swaying and Bryn said,they should pull it out in 2 days so it wont hurt unlikr if they pulled it right now.

10. later on, Lily saw fjord in the secret garden again and fjord collapsed. Lily asked for lauv and bryn help and let fjord stayed in the cabin in the secret garden because she just know that no one should know that fjord is here.

They asked lauv to treat fjord becahse bryn and lily cant take off fhord clothes(because theyre ladies) after lauv treat Fjord, lauv said that he saw many wounds on fjords body like someone tested a various weapons on him. Lily treat him.
In the midnight, Fjord woke up and found lily beside him. Lily told fjord ro sleep more and she held fjord head and made it lean on her shoulder and they slept like that(this is cute as*)

in the morning, fjord woke up and lily too and later on, atil broke in the cabin and saw fjord, hes mad and lily held his arm to try to stop him from punching fjord again but atil swayed his arm and said "Back off" but Lily is small and weak so lily got pushed on the floor and the teeth thats been swaying got removed. Her mouth bleed.

Fjord was shocked, worried and mad. Atil blamed fjord but fjors said "ir wasnr me who hit the princess, irs you!" Then rhey grabbed each other collar. This time, lily called lauv to stop the two from fighting.

later on, Lily and Atil talk to each other and if i remembee correctly, lily apopogized(?) And atil said "Dont" because(i kinda forgot but ill try to explain what he said)..if she keeps talking like that, her origin is obvious(i think its like that, i might be wrong but lily got hurt by what he said) from there Lily started to call Atil 'His highness' again.

11. Lily and fjord became friends.

*fast forward*

12. Lily and fjord went to the lake together and they decided to call each other in nicknames

Lyrica-Lily
Fjord-Piyo(it was translated in 'Blood' but gladly i know korean letters but cant understand them hehe) so piyo if from fjord name. I think fjord name is pronounced 'fiyord' so it became 'piyo'

back to the story. They decided to just call each other nicknames when theyre only together and no one is around.

then Lily asked fjord about a gun(i forgot what exactly she asked) and fjord said "I dont bring it when im meeting Lily"

"Dont you need it for self defense?"-Lily(not sure)

"Its not for self defense"-Fjord

"If its for self defense, then for what?assassination?"-Lily

i forgot fjord answered to that but he said "Like this" then form a gun sign with his hand and point it in Lily's chin and said "Bang"

Lily got scared and told fjord not to do that and fjord apologized. Lily told fjord "Dont break"She cant really say 'Dont die' since its kinda scary to say it directly. Later on, Fjord left. When Lily was walking to go home, she met the duke/duchess of Barat. And as far as i remembered they just stared at each other and didnt speak to each other. Atil arrived and said "Do you like blocking the road" to the duke/duchess.

the duke/duchess left and atil and lily got a time together and lily eat ice cream and they drank tea. Later on,Lily vomitted blood and turns out its a poison. Since Atil got poisoned several times before(I thinm its nited three times? I forgot) he told someone to bring first aid and a doctor.
Gladly they did it fast and lily is fine

*in barat house during Lily poisoning scene*

Fjord was about to go upstaurs but be heard someone talking about Lily got poisoned and he was worried and sais that be wants to rush to the imperial palace. The duke/duchess called him and he went to the duke/duchess room and saw many pills(idk what is it but looks like fjord always drink pills from the duke/duchess) fjord drank it and the duke/duchess told fjord,that the duke/duchess was happy to save fjord from his failures and told fjord, dont ruin his/her proud mood. The duke also told fjord "My first masterpiece"

And in fjord mind is like this.

'I omce to be your good son and make you feel proud until i found out im just your masterpiece.

I wonder what will you feel if your masterpiece is broken?'(its not exactly like what he said but i tried my best)

And later on he remembered whag lyrica told him 'Dont break'

(This is kinda teary. I feel like fjord wanfs to give up and hes fighting for Lily)
