The fathers in the Genre Fantasy Romance Isekai Melodrama are quite extreme or full of shit.
    You can categorize them in:

    1. The ignorant neglectful father who is full of bias (Sometimes Often Blaming his own daughter for his beloved Wife's death) and suddenly becomes loving towards or interested in FL out of nowhere because her attititude changed + she became very useful after regression/transmigration.
    2. The unfaithful stupid so blameless father who caused many female characters scheming against, hurting and killing each other.
    3. The hot pretty psycho father killing the OG FL but gets fond of new reincarnated/possesed FL from Modern Korea.
    4. The really trash scum father who doesn't care about his bastard or useless daughter, exploits her and gets blamed, condamned & punished by ML or FL's better Adoptive Hunky Father (in rare cases a Badass Adoptive Mother).
    5. The false father abusing mistreating gaslighting the FL for a very long time.
    6. The shit drunken addicted gambling father who has lots of debts and eager to sell his poor daughter FMC.
    7. The unconditional loving naive father who died or gets easily taken advantage of by anyone. The dead dad also often leaves some huge debts behind...
    8. The pathetic father who loves his (illegitimate/fake) daughter of his lover or 2nd Wife more than his mistreated first born daughter.
    9. The mighty powerful feared secretly kind father who never knew he has a daughter pampers her with endless luxuries as reparation.
    10. The Emperor Father who makes his children from different mothers fight against each other for the throne to the death. And if there are no other wives or consorts, he stupidly keep comparing his supposed only son with the related more talented superior ML.

Hmm... You've mentioned most I could think of, but let's see...

I Failed to Oust the Villain
The Emperor’s Terminally-ill Youngest Daughter is Being Taken Care Of. Dropped it the moment the emperor bestowed MC a supposedly-significant-name while it's the last thing the dying MC needed.
I’m the Main Character’s Child. Exactly the "you made my beloved wife die!" type -_-
It’s Tickling to Be Loved All of a Sudden. Similar to the prev one, though not much I can say since only few chapters are translated.
And if you don't like the father from I Just Want To Freeload on Your Luck, then this one counts too: My Son is a Reborn Villain. Typical father favoring stepdaughter more than his biological one.

Seriously, the one and only best father is Gallahan Lombardi from I Shall Master This Family; not the disgustingly doting papa, I can say he has (pretty much) the most normal (as in our rl common sense) father-daughter relationship I've seen in KR novels

I believe 95% of parents could be put into the trash list, making me believe most authors either have bad relationships with their parents or too good, since most dramas wouldn't happen if MC parents listened to them and loved them. Sadly, I'm leaning towards bad relationships, because, even when the parents are written in good light, they sound more fake than the evil parents.

There are some active biological fathers who I believe are flawed but are making the best effort of making amends to their daughters:
    • The Archemage's Daughter
    • The Twin Siblings’ New Life
    • I Was Born As The Demon Lord's Daughter
    • The Reborn Little Girl Won’t Give Up
    • I'll Just Live on as a Villainess
    • My House Became Independent Because It Was Said to Be Useless!
    • I Became the Despised Granddaughter of the Powerful Martial Arts Family
    • Precious Daughter of the Greatest Martial Arts Villain (Grandfather Patriarch has four Wives...)
    • I Never Abandoned the Tyrant (FL's Father did hist best to protect her from the ML)
    • My Daughter Is The Final Boss
    • The Fake Rides in a Flower Kiln

And parents that are both alive and seem very decent:
    • Lady Baby
    • I Was Just An Ordinary Lady
    • My Family is Obsessed with Me
    • It’s My First Time Being Loved (FL's Father almost killed an innocent doctor.)
    • The Stereotypical Life Of A Reincarnated Lady
    • Another Typical Fantasy Romance (Best Smart Parents!)
    • The Villainous Princess Wants to Live in a Cookie House
    • I’m the Villainess, but the Capture Targets are too Abnormal
    • The Daughter of the Marquis, Who Was Executed Under False Accusation, Wants to Spend a Peaceful Life in the Land Protected by God
    • The Former Structural Researchers Story of Otherworldly Adventure
    • I'm a Villainess, Can I Die? (Pampered/Spoilt the OG Host very rotten)
    • Lazy Sigh of the Villainess
    • My Engagement Got Broken Off (Lol)
    • The Villainess Want to Marry a Commoner!!
    • The Tanaka Family Reincarnates
    • The Price of Breaking Up
    • I Stole the Heroine’s First Love
    • Golden Light Gratia, The Child Loved By God
    • Evil-like Duke Household/Demonic Family: The Duke of Ractos
    • The Inner Palace Tale of a Villainess Noble Girl
    • The Monster Duchess & The Contract Princess (The Adoptive Parents)

There is one I immediately thought of, but I can’t remember the title. (Whoops)

The type of father was: favors illegitimate daughter and concubine over legitimate family. There may have been a redeeming twist reveal after the fact that his motives were hate born from love + misunderstandings and dad regretted, but it’s possible I’m mixing up plots. He was definitely unable to repair his relationship with his original family. Neither of his daughters seemed to be good birds in his defense, but he was also the one who encouraged their toxic growth environment. I ragequit said novel for more than one reason.

He was pretty stereotypical bad scum father to the MC… until he was convinced by his other daughter to set up a group rape scene with aphrodisiacs against his own child to ruin her marriage! That is definitely NOT a normal move. The MC escapes by locking them in the room with the guards instead and it turns into a live spring palace. The whole family appeared as arranged in time to see this group orgy scene staged by the MC’s most malicious relatives. ML doesn’t let the MC stick around to watch so she gets away cleanly.

The dad stands out among the terrible because he attempted to ruin one daughter and actually ruined his other. He wasn’t a good parent to any of his children. He spoiled some to their demise and suppressed others so they could only shine once they escaped his hands.

This kind of plot sounds like a cheap trashy manhua setting where the evil half-sister can easily drug the FL so she can be easily r*ped and get impregnated by random men or sex criminals.....

Shitty Garbage Parents, Crazy White Lotus/Green Tea Bitches, Narcissistic Evil Jealous Royal Princes, Obessessed toxic problematic psychotic high-ranking hot MLs and FLs that have to suffer/endure all of this to become a Happy Privileged Girlboss Queen Wife are the standard key ingredients for writing any convenient easy to sell melodramatic twisted FanRom Melodrama Plot.

You forgot food. MC has to either cook or eat, or both. Most exciting plots are where, in the middle, MC suddenly starts to cook/eat.

    Thanks for the compliment.
Long hours of internet research. It was exhausting/tiring.
I don't remember every FanRom Novel or Webtoon that has been published in English.
Just happen to be currently invested in many specific Stories/aTropes that caught my attention because they were either interesting or trashy.
To be honest, I wouldn't recommend anyone to remember + collect stuff like me.
At some point you need to let things go for good to have a more clearer head/a memory space that isn't overloaded anymore!

    C is for Caring fathers

While the most common complaints are aimed at evil (step)mothers in fairy tales, almost as many people protest absentee or abusive fathers as well. Caring, involved, likable father figures are a very important part of representation, and they seem to be somewhat lacking in tradition.
    Not completely, though.

    Zal and Rostam

The Persian legend of Zal wins at a lot of things - fatherhood among them. Zal does not only help his wife deliver their son (by C-section none the less), but also follows along the hero's entire journey giving him advice, support, and care.
(The legend of Zal is part of the Shahnameh, I recommend this edition)

Fionn Mac Cumhaill, Oisín, and Oscar

At the heart of the Irish legends of the Fianna there are three generations of men who do fatherhood right. Fionn raises Oisín alone after his wife is kidnapped; Oisín is usually shown raising Oscar alone as well, whose mother is barely ever mentioned. In some versions of the stories, Oisín is the only one who can keep his son from his battle frenzy. Because the Fianna legends are very temporally nebulous (and also because all three have some fae blood in them), the three are usually portrayed together in the Fianna's adventures. It is said that one of the two times anyone ever saw Fionn cry was at Oscar's death.
(For Fianna stories, read any of these books. For a Fionn-and-Baby tale, read Eddie Lenihan's book)

    The robber and his sons

Some versions of this delightful folktale type (ATU 953) tell about a father who is a retired robber, and is trying to keep his three sons form following in his footsteps. He saves all three of them from execution by telling outrageous tales from his own criminal youth.
(I wrote about this folktale type in detail here)

    Peter Carved-of-Wood

In this Hungarian folktale, a poor man carves the figure of a child from wood, and the boy comes to life (déja vu, anyone?). When he sets out to seek his fortune, he tells his father what signs to watch for to know if he is in trouble. When he gets killed on a quest, his father sees the signs and sets out to revive him.
(You can watch a gorgeous cartoon telling of this story here, with English subtitles!)

    King Metabus and Camilla
One of my favorite Roman legends about the exiled king of the Volscii rescuing his newborn daughter by tying her to a spear and throwing her across a river before he saves himself. Don't try this at home.
    (Read about it here)

    A father's love

This adorable folktale from India features a minister who is always late for work because he is busy raising his six-year-old son. When the king questions him, the minister puts him through a test to see how good a father he would make...
    (Read the story here)

    Adoptive Father

The Flying Horse of Earthdom (Scottish Traveller tale)

One of Duncan Williamson's tales. A king's son is born with a hump on his back, and the king orders the baby to be abandoned in the woods. He is adopted by an old hunchbacked man who takes him to a secret place called Earthdom, populated by people shunned by society. The boy is raised there, and since his adoptive father teachers him archery, his back straightens by the time he grows up. He returns to court to win a series of contests. When the king finds out the young man is his son, he wants to take him back - but the boy refuses him, and returns to Earthom to the kind people who raised him.

    The Wild Man's Daughter (Greece)

A king's daughter sees a dream that foretells her father bowing before her. The king grows so angry that he orders her to be abandoned in the wilderness. She ends up in the house of a Wild Man, who adopts her and cares for her, and helps her grow in confidence and find a worthy husband. Even after his death, he leaves her some magic to ensure her happiness.

    Heimer and Aslaug (Iceland)

This is a sequel to the epic story of Sigurd and Brynhildr. The tragic couple has a daughter, Aslaug. After the death of her parents she is saved and spirited away by Heimer, who becomes her foster-father. He hides the baby girl inside a harp and travels with her to faraway places, disguised as a wandering musician. Eventually he is killed, but he manages to save Aslaug's life.

    N'oun Doaré (Brittany)

The hero of this story (whose name means "I don't know") is found as a small child by the Marquis of Coat-Squiriou. The kind marquis adopts him and raises him. When N'oun Doaré grows up, he goes through a series of adventures, supported by his parents. Eventually he even finds out about his own origins - however, when asked, he still names the marquis and his wife as his true parents.

    Boris Son o' Three (Ukraine)

A boy is kidnapped by an eagle and lost in the woods. He is found by three brothers who decide to raise the baby together; they christen him Boris Son o' Three. When he grows up, the fathers gift him a magic foal, and he goes on to amazing adventures.

The Wild Cat of the Forest (Austria)

A charcoal burner encounters a large man in the forest and invites him to baptize his newborn child. The godfather names the boy Wild Cat. Growing up, the boy keeps getting into trouble and his parents abuse him, so one night he runs away and goes to live with his godfather. The wild man teaches him a useful trade and cares for him, until Wild Cat runs away again to other adventures.

I will never understand the logic of any Rofan Fathers blaming their daughters for their beloved wives' death.:blobangery::blobconfused::blobpopcorn_two:
Dying during childbirth is not uncommon in a Western European Medieval Era Setting.
It's quite insulting that the birth father first abuses the OG FL and then kinda regrets his misbehaviour towards his daughter once a regression/reincarnation/transmigration unleashed her emancipation + full special potentional.:facepalm::facepalm:

It would be ideal nice, if every FMC would react and punish their shitty trash dads like Hillis Inoaden. :aww::aww::aww:

I think there is a good explaination why there are still many Asian Rofan authors who can't let their Female Protagonist punish unapologetically and ruthlessly their horrible patriarchal fathers:

Why Filial Piety is Bullshit || 为什么孝顺文化是Bullshit

    @smolchilli1712
THANK YOU you've put what i've been feeling for a long time into words. Filial piety just creates a rich breeding ground for abusive behaviour. It requires children to be eternally grateful to their parents for doing the bare minimum of raising them, and then SURPRISE when that child grows up to have their own ideas and goals that don't align with the parents' vision, they bring up the fact that they sacrificed so much to take care of them in order to guilt trip them into submission. Emotional abuse much? And this is just a pet peeve of mine, but you see this a lot in chinese dramas where in cultures that don't have the concept of filial piety, they are portrayed as these immoral people who jump at the chance to abuse their elders. Basically implying that without filial piety, this is how chinese society would turn out. And sorry to break it to the writers but even with filial piety, there's still plenty of elder abuse in asian societies. Only there's the added bonus of emotional, verbal, and financial abuse against younger folk being waved off as something normal
    @user-ni3kb2ti2l
Completely agree!! Filial piety is a big thing in Indian culture too, and I definitely know people who stick by their abusive families because immense guilt prevents them from prioritizing their own well-being and drawing boundaries.
    @tomhandee
Thanks for making this video, i came from Indonesia and this filial piety is very contrast in South East Asian too. But this thing is contributed to Narcistic Parents which i feel is very toxic, my parents were overcontrol my life since i was a kid and made my future in their decision. And also the stupidity of hierarchy, when my father made stupid decision that impacted my family's economy that as a son i called "You're smart but it's useless if you don't have attitude" when i told him the best approach to solve this problem. This culture made parents neglect any children's opinion and become tyranny even in the arguments when i give them facts and logic answers, they always deny it and call me with that phrase. The next thing about love, yes i grew up in "transactional love" not in "unconditional love" parents, since a kid i always feel threaten when i want something from my parents because it feels like you have a "debt" to them and you must pay off with your achievement in school like having the best grades, if not they will regretful and threaten me to never give me anything i want in the future. For f*ck sake, i'm literally exhausted living in this culture.
    @yuanProduction
So sorry to hear about your experience but I’m sure this exists in a lot of families. It’s exhausting to have controlling parents. They always make you feel invalid and you could never live up to their expectations. It’s ironic though since meeting this society’s standard is already hard enough. I believe some Asian adults would be a lot happier if their parents gave them unconditional love in their childhood.

A short recap list of fathers blaming their daughters for the death of their beloved wives:
    • Fantaghiro (1991-1996) (Almost killed his Baby Daughter)
    • Games of Thrones - Tyrion Lannister
    • Skip Beat!
    • I Tamed The Tyrant and Ran Away
    • Untouchable/Solitary Lady
    • Suddenly I Became a Princess One Day
    • Duchess of the Glass House
    • It’s Tickling to Be Loved All of a Sudden
    • The Reborn Little Girl Won’t Give Up
    • The Obsessive Second Male Lead Has Gone Wild
    • The Tyrant Wants To Live Honestly
    • The Saintess Returns as a Villain
    • The Palace Beast
    • It's Not Easy Being the Ice Emperor's Daughter
    • I Will Live as a Supporting Character in This Life
    • I Became the Villainess in an Anticlimactic
    • I Was Born As The Demon Lord's Daughter (Almost Murdered His Infant Daughter + Full of Guilt)
It's really rare to see a Rofan Father blaming his only son for the death of his wife:
The Evil Lady's Hero + Marilyn Likes Lariensa Too Much! + Games of Thrones - Tyrion Lannister

And for the very first time I saw a fictional widowed father that does not hate and treat his own infant daughter like shit after the mothter dies in I Was Born As The Demon Lord's Daughter + Baby Tyrant + The Oblivious Saint Can't Contain Her Power: Disgraced No Longer, I'm Finding Happiness with the Prince!.

It would have been nice, if that abusive patriarch was her real biological father but I still appreciate the fact that she can grab his throat and hit him with her own hands/power.

It would take an essay to actually write clearly about this ......
The reason I think abusive parents are so common in comics and novels is because in reality in East Asia, abusive parents are just so common. I grew up in China, and my cousin used to tell me stories about how her mother would beat her and suffocate her by pressing her head into a pool of water - her mother wasn't from the bottom class, and worked for a government agency with a decent income. Almost every friend I know has at least one parent who is manipulative or abusive.
East Asia's history has been very tumultuous in recent times, especially in China and Korea, where intergenerational family traumas are rampant. And they are so prevalent that few people will notice them. It was only when I was reading English novels that I noticed how differently family relationships are demanded in the West. In China, child suicide has become such a major problem, but the fucking government doesn't give a shit, and we simply can't put in place an effective social support system to help kids who are abused. There's also widespread domestic violence, women being trafficked, patriarchy, filial piety, etc etc etc. And these problems don't just happen in China, they happen in Korea, Taiwan, and Japan as well, except at least the democratic system allows these issues to be taken seriously and discussed. You can't have a meaningful conversation on the internet in China.
It's not the fault of women who have lived in this environment for so long that they simply can't imagine healthy and mutually supportive family relationships. We have a story about "a beggar who imagined the life of an emperor and said, The emperor must be so rich that he asks for food every day with a golden rice bowl." The toxic elements in all of these stories are a reflection of real, realistic abusive relationships. Many women read fantasy novels not fantasizing that they live in a society of equals, but that they are the superior ones in an unequal society, with the power and status to keep their abusers down and so on.
In fact I think the current western view of the family is largely a middle class view as well, and has also emerged in recent times. In the Middle Ages those abusive child behaviors were probably considered normal.
Class oppression reproduces itself over and over again, that's what has been happening throughout human history.
