She thinks that ml saw her injury and in true knovel-ml manner blamed fl for it. ●Fl wants to know about when Maria visits the garden but the maids refuse to answer seeing how sick she is. So she keeps sitting by the window and sees Maria and Theodore. She starts to cry and the maids try to calm her down. ●Maria gets a letter from the 7th prince. They prepare to go back to the island to meet him. Fl is finally allowed to leave her room. She feels like there is nothing left for her. Even killing ml would bring her despair. She is very lonely and thinks about how warm Allie was to her. The maid tells her that ml is preparing to leave. Fl is angry since he completely isolated and locked her up but was himself leading a free life. ● Fl decides to meet ml. She just wants to leave the territory. She wants to go with him but he throws Eve at her and says the emperor won't help her again. He asks if she has to die to come to her senses. Even the butler, who thinks she is up to no good, points it out . ● Ml and Maria meet the 7th prince. Maria is very close to him. They call each other by their names and hold hands like lovers. The 7th prince is a very skinny,weak, cowardly boy. He has no powers of his own and is clearly not an important person in the imperial family. Ml wants to know what he will get out of helping the prince.The prince tells him that he doesn't want to be the emperor. He just wants to live. He would be the duke's puppet. Looking at the Prince reminds ml of Fl. They talk about their plan to kill emperor. They decide to use uncle Everdeen's mistress ●Maria met prince when she was young and they fell in love. She tells ml that no noble marries only for love. Ml agrees with her but doesn't like her arrogant attitude. He tells her that he is not responsible for granting her wishes, that she should be prepared to lose something in order to gain another. ● Maria mocks fl... again. Ml becomes cold and asks her to shut up. When Maria goads him, he threatens her. She asks him to take fl as a mistress. She says that they can even have kids. Fl just has to live more quietly than she does now. Ml laughs and reminds her that he isnt that eager to marry her so she should learn when to shut up. ●ml is very annoyed on his way back home. He thinks seeing fl's face will help him forget the convo. He starts to consider Maria's offer and thinks that it might not be such a bad idea (Gods help us). He wonders what fl would think. ● fl starts to frequent luxury stores. She buys clothes, only to sell them and buy new ones. She hides a small amount of money during these transactions. She can't bear to touch the compensation provided by Eve's family. ●One day fl leaves the shop early, hides from her servants and goes to Allie's house. Allie is surprised to see her. She holds fl's hand and asks her what she was doing there. Fl is thinner than she used to be. She is shivering and crying. Sergei and Allie were the only people kind to her. She tells her that she can't bear it anymore. She just wants to rest but won't survive alone. She is saving money and would pay Allie to help her. When Allie keeps quiet fl kneels on the floor and begs her for help. Allie pulls her up and hugs her. She had just been to a marriage appointment but she knows she can't leave fl alone like this. She keeps holding fl till she stops crying. ● Allie advises fl to act normally, to act like she is still in love with Ml. One day Ml calls her to his room. He says her name. Fl wants to tear out her own ears since tearing out his tongue will be difficult. Ml had ignored fl for months because he was still thinking over Maria's mistress offer. He thinks they can always be together if she stays like the dead in his mansion. He knows that it's just selfishness and not love. ●Ml tells her that he has been bearing with her arrogance all this time in the hope that she will become a better human being, realize her mistakes and live like the dead ('dead'-you know....like she does now?). Fl is enraged. She thinks ml is the most disgusting person in the world who acts all lofty and virtuous. Ml had never treated her like a human. Fl never wanted love from him but she had wished for peace. She had thought they could be polite with each other. They had been engaged for six years but Ml had hated her for the entire time. Fl wants to cry but doesn't want him to see her tears. ● Ml says that he will not give her his name. Just then the butler comes in (without permission but our ever kind lord forgives him). Butler seems very happy and fl is worried that he probably found out her plan and wants to have her killed for it (since she knows how much the butler hates her). Butler informs him of emperor's death. Fl feels like it is a miracle. ●Fl starts to pack her jewelery and the money. A earring falls to the ground. She had lost the other earring of the pair on the terrace(ml has it). So she leaves it ● next morning a maid tells ml about fl's disappearance. He forgives her because he thinks he can easily find fl. She has no one or no where to go. People hate Everdeens, so they will definitely find her and bring her to him.He remembers her voice and her hair. He doesnt know how to describe what he is feeling and goes for the usual #damnEverdeen curses. ● emperor died without appointing a successor , so ml still has a lot to do and needs to get married to Maria. He needs fl to sign the divorce documents( they were only engaged...but then the rules in these rofans vary from book to book, so who knows...). He thinks it isn't that necessary since fl was eViL. So he doesn't need to look for her ●Ml goes to her room. He finds it very quiet and wonders if this is how lonely fl felt. The door feels like a coffin lid. Ml is in pain. It's difficult to breathe (please,please,please...drop dead) Fl has only taken money and some jewelery. He finds the earring and remembers how in the past fl had climbed the railing on the terrace. He was afraid that she was going to jump off the roof but she told him that she had been searching for the earring. He wonders why he was so scared when he had always wanted her to die. He realises that he loved her. He orders a search for Fl. ● They don't find her. Butler thinks that fl has no grace and only troubles his master. He wishes that she had died alongside her parents. Ml doesn't believe his report and searches for her himself but to no avail. He keeps hearing fl saying that she wants him to suffer through the pain she felt when she lost Serg. Ml announces a reward for finding fl. Spoiler: After 2 yrs ● After running away fl goes to Allie's house. Her family is so nice to her that fl starts feeling guilty for taking Allie away. They go to this wagon company where they meet a guy called Hugo. They introduce themselves as sisters and he agrees to help them go to the East. They end up in a village where they go by different names. Hugo even helps fl dye her hair blond. Allie is suspicious of him but he just says that they pay him good money. Fl embroiders cloth and Allie sells them. ● Ml's father is the previous emperor's second son. Initially the brothers were close but the emperor favored his second son( as the now-emperor was trash). Ml's father withdrew from the succession battle but now-emperor was always wary off him. Fl's uncle was involved in smuggling and other illegal activities. Her father was helping him. After the duchess' death in a carriage accident, ml's father finally decided to fight back. Uncle abandoned fl's father who then fell into debt and committed suicide. Ml remembers his father laughing and saying " Damn Everdeens". Ml doesn't think it's funny. He decides to kill the entire family. The Duke is later poisoned. Ml starts to go against the emperor so he arranges for ml and fl to get engaged. Ml meets fl. She looks like she has been through a lot. He had not been nice to fl (huh, understatement much?), but he would have never imagined the abuse she had had suffered in the mansion. He lets butler live because of how loyal he had been but asks him to leave the mansion. ●While searching in the East, ml comes across fl's embroidery in a shop. It reminds him of the work she used to do while waiting for serg to return( butler had collected those embroidery and had had them burnt) ●Fl is returning with groceries when it starts to rain. She sees knights approaching her. Ml arrives and calls her 'Asha' ( the nickname Serg gave her). She starts to run and he chases her on horseback. He grabs her and pulls her up. She feels helpless. She cries and asks him to let her go ● They are in the carriage on their way to the island. Ml holds fl in his arms (ew). She says that she hates him but he has the audacity to laugh. He thinks time will heal everything. Poor fl. She thought she was safe in the village. Allie was anxious because life seemed too peaceful but fl was happy. She remembers how they would bake cookies and bread. Sometimes they would have meals with Hugo. She just wants to give up ●new butler leads fl to the main bedroom. She is worried about what must have happened to Allie. Earlier she had nothing to lose but now fl knows true happiness(Her time in the East). ●Ml makes sure she gets what she wants- from flowers to jewellery. Only the food that she likes, is made. Ml no longer works in his office. He has brought his desk into the bedroom. He is always at fl's side. He acts all friendly but fl wants to hurt him like he had hurt her. She thinks his 'love' for her is gonna wear off and he is going to be even more abusive than before. ●Ml is being all touchy, holding her hand. He thinks she is consenting since she isn't pushing him away. Fl feels like insects are crawling over her hand. He ever kisses her sometimes. ●One day when he calls out her name after kissing her she realises what he wants and starts to undress herself even if it's humiliating. Well you know what follows. Fl keeps her eyes closed thinking that she won't die from this and someday she will be able to escape again. She starts sobbing and wants him to stop but has given up on any resistance. ● He keeps raping her every night and the servants try to ignore her cries. She starts to get 'used to' it and starts to feels 'pleasure'. Then she feels disgusted. ● She is starting to forget Serg's face. But she never forgets his death. She knows that ml can, someday, again destroy something she loves. ●Maria is angry when she hears the rumours. Even though she loves the prince she knows the risk an empress is under. There is also a law that states only married women can be the emperor's mistress. Her butler tells her that there is no proof of the contract between her and the duke. She scolds him saying the entire situation is an evidence. ●Maria visits the duke's mansion. The new butler stops her saying that the ml is busy. He asks her to just accept it since he is trying hard too. He tells her that even if she doesn't want to get married he has no intention of letting her go. He says things will be different when they have kids. He wants a kid that looks like her. Fl thinks that she will be traumatised by the knowledge of having his child. She imagines it will a monster that will tear her stomach. She keeps scratching at her wrist and almost draws blood. She tells him that she would rather die than bear his child. ● Ml is worried that fl will kill herself. He had never considered her dying before because he knew about her will to live. But now he keeps thinking about how she had said that she would kill the person he loved the most. ● it has been two months since fl was kidnapped. Allie is worried. She knows fl isn't a nice person but she understands that fl is someone who never had any reason to live or to be happy. She asks Hugo to help her one last time in exchange for the remaining jewellery. He had already figured out her identity (because they didn't look alike and the duke had made wanted notices for fl). He doesnt want to help as he is no match for the Duke but agrees when he sees how sad Allie is. He reveals that he helped them in the first place because someone had asked him to. ●Before meeting Serg, fl didn't love herself. He made her want to be happy. After his death she wanted to live as the person he cared about. But things changed after Eve's death. Eve was arrogant but was a nice person. Fl wondered if she now has the right to live anymore after Eve's death. Now she struggles between wanting to live and wanting to die. Marriage to the Duke wasn't something she ever bothered about. Even thinking about it makes her sick.

Count Everdeen fall long before the emperor's death. Both ML and MC found out about the count likes using recreation drugs. Both of them acted on their own without knowing what the other one did. On ML's side, he found the count's drug supplier and paid them to tamper the drugs to be more addictive and potent. ML also set up a guild and played the market price of goods that the count was selling, causing count to incur loses in his business. On MC's side she paid the count's favorite prostitute to keep seducing and enticing him to consume more drugs. Count became so immersed in drugs that his business fall into ruins. He tried to get help from the Emperor but when Emperor refused, he tried to blackmail him with their previous misdeeds. Angered, the emperor ordered his execution before he could spill the bean. Can anyone tell me the ending in the Epilogue? When ML died, he went back to the time when he first saw MC for the first time. Most likely a dream. He mentions how time can't be turned back/ dead can't come back. He is taking his dying breath, so probably just hallucinations. This novel hasn't really been into magic so it doesn't make sense to introduce time travel at the very end (maybe in the sidestories if they are ever released)
