https://www.novelupdates.com/series/reincarnated-cthulhu/ It is a most strange and incomprehensible circumstance that led this wonderful novel bereft of a discussion thread. One that I found myself needing to swiftly fix. So, shall we partake in a discourse over the incomprehensible and malevolent eldrich horrors that lurk behind the pages of this story?
Considering the bizarre turn the story has taken, I wonder if we shall have the pleasure to meet one Dr Herbert West?
Alike our dear protagonist Philemon, I too, was expecting the arival of the enigmatic Herbert West, better known as the reanimator, of the dreaded Miscatonic University. That it could be Victor Frankenstein eluded me, although I should have expected that Herbert West, who in the mythos lived in the 20th century, would be unavaliable in Victorian England
I shudder with pity for Shirley Marie, yet I commence the perusal of Lovecraftian tales with no hope of felicity for noble personages. Nay, I doth predict that all the wretches espied therein shall encounter cosmic ends in eldritch and queer manners. Save for the main character, who, as indicated by the volume’s pagination, must endure countless more chapters of harrowing adventures.
After perusing the chapter presented to us most recently, one numbered the twenty fifth, I have conceived a theory that the Dean, in fact, has made himself known yet - he must have been the student that has spoken the adage to Philemon!
