honestly i feel like i expect something like an accidental pregnancy to happen since they had 2 whole paragraphs talking about dragons having a way to maximize the chance of conception when they’re in heat. Later on it did say that no one has EVER gotten pregnant on the first heat though but I found it odd they even mentioned it so maybe in the later chapters…?
yeah, thats what i find absurd, unless in his subconscious he didnt want her to get pregnant, but again, that would involve some magic shenanigans. and since it not mentioned at all, i think we should just conclude it as armor plot. another thing, why a crown princess selection allows maids/commoners to enter? i dont get it.
Ah, I've forgotten what chapter it was mentioned in but from what I could remember it was to keep the nobles/political factions in check possibly to prevent any conflict if they fight over which one of their daughters could become the empress.
