I was surprised I didn't know Edwin was infertile!!! So where did the fetus in her womb come from? ...is he really infertile?!

From what I remember, she and Asheel did not meet after her period!! It means that a fetus is not from him !!

No, Edwin wasn't made her miscarry.
Edwin got mad and beat the wizard (Tasha) who lied on him, then told Tasya to give Nadia the medicine if she wants it (he knew Tasya told Nadia the truth that it was actually Asil's baby). Tasya asking him if it's okay for him if both of couple infertile.

Nadia really asked for the the medicine, screaming that she got pregnat not because she wanted it, but because she was forced (raped). Tasya gave it and told the side effect (infertile). Close before Nadia drank it, she felt her stomach hurt. She got miscarry because she exhaust her body and mind before (She fainted once before this incident and Tasya had told her to take full rest, but she made herself busy to escape from thinking bad things). Tasya thought this incident is better that she drank the medicine, because she escape from infertile side effect.

After all the messed up thing had finished and Nadia ended up with Edwin, she got pregnant again. Nadia saw Edwin's reaction not as good as she thought when he heard the news. Edwin told her about his infertile condition. With his story, Nadia finally knew that Edwin knew everything from the start, including Asil raped her. With this pregnancy, there are 2 possibilities. Nadia cheated on him or he was cured. As both of them know she wasn't cheated on him (the maid always with her when they can't spend time together, she doesn't have time and will to cheat, and Nadia loves him), so it means he was cured. To shaken off any bad feelings (Nadia still can't fix her bad thought habit), Nadia wanted to take a test again. Edwin told her that must be his child and the one who needs to take a test is him (about infertility), not her (about who is the father of the baby).

 

So this is the real plot? What happened to Ashel? He's an a-hole.

 

Near ending, Edwin transfered him with the entire Red Thorn Knight to imperial palace as other marquis and new emperor (Lazlo - the previous crown prince, Yulian's older brother) asked him to release one from three knight under him (Edwin gave what they want while clearing Ashel from his and Nadia's sight ).

Spoiler: The real villain and general summary

The villain here is Emperor Yulian, Edwin half-brother. Officially, Edwin is his cousin, but the truth is cruel. Edwin is previous emperor's illegitimate child, born from incest with his sister. When the princess got pregnant, he made a deal with a 70 years old marquis to married her. The marquis, lost all his 3 sons in fight protecting the border, didn't have any successor, so he accept it. Everytime the marquis in fight, others thought the princess went to save place, but actually his brother took her (and Edwin) to a villa in the imperial palace (they still did it even after Edwin born). Only some of palace workers and nobles knew this truth (including the marquis who sopport Lazlo and Edwin's official father's friend).

With that condition, Edwin got close with Yulian, the third prince, that only 2 years older from him. Yulian is the one who told Edwin that he was his half brother that been born from incest. Yulian bullied him from time to time and taking everything from him. Edwin endured it all the time because Yulian will act more cruel if he struggle.

When the marquis died, Edwin's biological father wanted to take Edwin's mother again to his side, but she run away to other kingdom near the border, leaving Edwin.

Edwin helped Yulian killed all his brothers (but actually saved and hide Lazlo), so Yulian became emperor. Yulian's malicious not stop there. He even command Edwin to rape the empress in front of him just for his fun but Edwin decline it. The incident Yulian made Edwin drank the potion happened around this time. Edwin knew Yulian wouldn't make him drank with any good. He asked a wizard to check what potion is that, from what he could vomit. The potion actually used for abortion, but the effect may differ and made the one who drank it becomes infertile. Edwin asked the wizard to hide this truth. Not longer after he knew the truth, Yulian stopped to make him drank the potion. With this incident, Edwin knew that he couldn't trust anyone and Yulian never trust him, only keep him alive until now because he is still useful.

The empress came to Edwin, telling her plan to rebel. Edwin, fed up with Yulian, joined with her and started to plan the rebellion.

Yulian is the one who actually arranged Edwin's marriage. Nadia's father is one of Yulian supporter, so Edwin wary of Nadia and look at her move from the start. In the party before wedding night, Yulian, who knew about Edwin's infertile condition, offered himself to impregnate Nadia or a threesome. Edwin somehow can decline it. The reason why Edwin kept silent even though knew Nadia was raped by Ashel because of what Yulian said to him. He thought with that incident, Nadia will be more wary with her condition, or the emperor will do something similar toward her when she is alone without attendant. When he knew Nadia was pregnant, he thought he will use it as a reason to divorce and mock her father when it needs.

Edwin's feeling towards Nadia grew without him knowing. When Yulian tried to raped Nadia when he came to their territory, Edwin stopped it. Yulian mad at him and hurted him with 2 arrows, telling that he mistook him as wolves. Before parting, Yulian told Nadia to asked Edwin later (Edwin still faint at that momet) to bring her to imperial palace, so he can show her his bedroom (to fuck her). With this incident, Edwin stay in bed fow several days, Nadia faint for the first time (Tasya warned her to take full rest). Nadia felt disgusted with Yulian, started to have a sympathy to Edwin because he can manage to deal with Yulian so far.

Edwin knew Ashel tried to close to Nadia several times. He even showed him the moment when Edwin and Nadia had sex to make him give up, but Ashel not giving up. Ashel told Nadia that it's okay if he became her mistress. Edwin, who heard it himself, told Nadia that he doubted whose child inside her. He dragged Nadia to Tasya to check, but Tasya lied to him (this lead to miscarriage incident).

Nadia realized that she is like a flower inside a greenhouse. Edwin is the one who can protect her. If Edwin die or abandon her, she doesn't have anyone to cling. Her family won't accept her if Edwin divorce her.

Before rebellion, Edwin command Ashel to keep Nadia's savety. Edwin didn't trust him, but he trust Ashel's feeling towards Nadia. Edwin warned Ashel to trust nobody, even the knight under him.

While Edwin went with rebellion and brought Lazlo back to palace, Ashel brought Nadia to safe place. In the run, there was a rumor that the rebellion was failed and the nobles involved were died. Ashel asked the possibility about her back to him if Edwin really die. Nadia cried, realized she had feeling towards Edwin. One of the knight betrayed him, almost taking Nadia to Yulian. When just Nadia and Ashel remain, they continue to their journey. At some point Nadia fed up with everything, she seduced Ashel. Ashel warned her that she will reget it. She told him that she want to forget her anxiety. They slept together (he came inside her - glad she didn't pregnant again this time ). They continued the journey by taking new hint for the new destination everytime they reach their destination. At some point, they took the wrong hint, leading to where Yulian is hiding. Nadia asked Yulian to not hurt Ashel. Yulian was excited. He knew Edwin loves Nadia, so he used Nadia as a bait, but Nadia asked him to spare Ashel, her lover. Yulian locked Nadia in the tower and Ashel in other place.

After Lazlo reached the palace, Edwin asked him to let Edwin pursue Yulian by himself. Edwin had a bad premonition, so he tracked Yulian following where the hints he was told Ashel stopped.

Edwin met his mother in the way. His mother became the queen of the kingdom where she had run before. His mother hated Yulian because of his similarity - both physically and madness - with her brother. Everytime she looked at Yulian bullied Edwin, she felt the similarity how her brother handled her. She told him that the king offered to help but requesting a peace treaty or royal marriage between empire and her kingdom. Edwin told her that he thought Lazlo won't accept it. In the end, his mother helped but just as much as she could.

A wizard helped Nadia escaped, but Yulian caught her first. Edwin came after. Yulian's arrow wandered between Edwin and Nadia several times while talking, but ended up scratching Nadia's leg. Nadia fell from the cliff and Edwin jumped without thinking after throwing his sword towards Yulian. Nadia saw the sword hit Yulian's stomach. He could help her to breath but lost his consciousness. They stuck at a brach near a river. Nadia dragged him out and looking for a save place. After he got his consciousness, he asked if Nadia loves him and told her that he loves her. She told him that she loves him, too. Edwin then asked if Nadia loves Ashel. Nadia remembered Ashel told her that she will reget it (when they slept together after she seduced him). She can't denied it. Edwin replied that he understand. With their condition run away together, looks like run away couple, it can't be avoided. He told her that he was greedy and didn't want to share, so he wanted her to think again about it and gave him an answer later. When they met the searching party, they already faint.

Edwin looked after unconscious Nadia after he woke up. He had a conversation with his mother. The king wanted them to go as fast as possible because Lazlo reject their offer. They can use the gate with the charge paid by Edwin. His mother told him that she gave minimum tratment just to barely kept Yulian alive. She wanted to finished him, but she knew how much Edwin wanted to finish Yulian with his own hand. His mother said the farewell, hoping they won't ever meet again in the future (both of them didn't want to remember the past).

Nadia still unconscious even after reaching their territory. Edwin had no other choice to leave her because Lazlo command him to take Yulian to the capital. Edwin still not fully recovered from the wound while attending the meeting with Lazlo and other nobles. Edwin transfered Ashel with the entire Red Thorn Knight in this meeting. Edwin executed Yulian in front of everyone. Yulian said sorry before Edwin executed him, just want to look at his reaction. Yulian never stop to messed up with Edwin even in his ending.

After Yulian's execution, Ashel approached Edwin, asking if it's his scheme to separate Ashel and Nadia. Edwin told the truth about the marquis and Lazlo's request and his thought to use this chance to remove him. Ashel wanted to hurt him, telling him that he had slept with Nadia. Edwin can guess that much from Nadia's expression when he asked her that she loved Ashel. Ashel succeessed to make Edwin mad. Edwin told him that they had done it once, so it's easy to done it again, but Ashel need to think how much trouble he put to Nadia if he not leave her. This scratched Ashel, so he stay with the order.

Edwin wanted to go back as fast as possible, but Lazlo held him until coronation. Lazlo gave him a cane for Nadia (the wound in her leg from Yulian's arrow can't be fully healed, left her leg limp).

Nadia woke up after around 37 days. Edwin got a massage about this in his journey, so he rushed. After a short meeting, both of them take rest separately to recover. Edwin recovered first, helping Nadia to practice her walk and spend more time together. He tried his best to acted better to her than before.

Lazlo visited their territory with Red Thorn Knight. Ashel said his farewell to Nadia and asked for forgiveness. Nadia realized her love for Ashel died when he raped her. Nadia replied that she won't forgive him, so he doesn't need to forgive her, either (Nadia also realized she used him as much as she wanted while both of them on the run).

In her birthday party, Nadia told Edwin that he can't tell her that he loves her before asking for forgiveness for everything what he had done to her before. She can't understand him at all, afraid if he will change in the future (Nadia had a dream when she was unconscious before. She was a commoner with a loving husband but his love changed gradually to hatred by her changing when the time pass). Edwin replied how much he knew about himself and how he also can't understand himself. Edwin also had the same anxiety with Nadia, afraid she won't love him in the future. But he finally honest, told her that he can't let her go. Nadia got the answer she wanted.

Edwin is quick to cath Nadia's thinking and feeling, so he tries his best to follow as she likes, but his behaviour not much change when they make love.
Nadia got pregnant after more than a year marriage.

Sorry I take this summary much from Edwin's perspective than Nadia's.
Nadia is a typical quiet and easy to waver noble lady, so I more interested with Edwin with the messed up of his family. I even think the biggest messed up here is the royal family so Nadia just caught up with them (Ashel also caught up because he can't let Nadia go). Even Edwin himself fed up and tried as much as possible not stepping himself in the capital after Lazlo raised into Emperor.

 

They were all messed up characters actually. I've thought FL is any better of them but she’s also screwed up. Is this new emperor hates Edwin too?

Lazlo knew how far Yulian bullied Edwin and how Edwin worked hard and help Lazlo. Lazlo even gave Nadia a cane (the description of the cane is very beautiful) as a sorry for her and he apologizes to Edwin because of the caught up with imperial family's problem.

Lazlo, the new emperor is the reversal of Yulian. If Yulian is a tyrant who looks like their father, Lazlo is true ruler, fitting his status, who looks like the previous empress. But somehow Edwin thought Lazlo more fitting to becomes storyteller as they way he dragged public opinion to bring down Yulian and raised Edwin as his rightful vassal. Everyone around Lazlo knew Edwin as Yulian's dog, so they wary Edwid will bring down Lazlo in the future. As Lazlo raised into emperor position, Edwin ranked official as 4th in throne - below Lazlo's child and Yulian's child - and unofficially 2nd.
