    I'm pretty sure that he gave the tribute as a stalling tactic. The enemy had 200 men. Even if everyone fought, there would still be massive casualties. Plus, with the quick reaction time from Falduran, Almis didn't have time to arm his people properly or make traps and plan guerilla warfare tactics. Plus, he'll have citizens who did not starve when he does take over Falduran's entire kingdom. It's coming...at least by the novel description.

    The manga adaptation of this novel now have an english version that i read on a manga site today. It still has one chpter. Hope the novel will also release soon.
