Even I hope the author doesn't follow formula but so far in all Xianxia I have read, the only exception where sect didn't get destroyed is ATTE so far. This is still in early stages, wait for a while. Also I don't think the MC is that selfish, I think he cares about those sisters from the other sect and I think he also cares about his friend in the other sect as well. You need to understand y he abandoned his teammates, its because he couldn't be much of help to them in his present condition.

 

First you say the sect is on verge of impending doom, even though there is literally zero signs of it and MC is not even in position to care and now you say to wait a while. With that kind of reasoning I can predict MC will die next chapter and reincarnate. No indication of that either, but it happens in novels.

Also not sure how many novels did you read, but there are plenty where MC's sect does not get destroyed. HJC, PW, SS, MGA, AST, DKCHW, OEM is just what I have read that is on front page of novel updates.

 

I didn't say the sect is in the verge of impending doom in KOMD, I used the words "usually in novels....". And I also said I didn't want that shit to happen, because the plot is progressing so well, but who knows when the MC develops a sense of camaraderie with his fellow sect-mates, what's the guarantee that the author isn't gonna pull that shit?

Seems like it. They are supposedly stockpiled unedited chapters. XXW is ending so they are releasing everything they had in stock for all of their series. Hopefully this gets continued on another site.

What really happened with XW? I know that maybe a copyright or something may have been imposed but then they could simply migrate right?

 

From what I heard the owner wanted to sell it because it was too much of a money sink. They were planning on selling it to Qidian but then that fell through due to some disagreements. Seems like they might be shutting down now but I could be wrong about that.

 

was the ad money not enough? their novels are actually quite popular..and they have got a bunch of them~ I guess this is kind of like second major setback to tl scenario after he man got away from ST~

 

Former translator from XXW said on Reddit that they were becoming stingy with the money. Translators and editors were being paid but then they stopped doing so for both so they didn't want to continue. XXW was a site where people joined to get paid in the first place so it makes sense.

 

I wonder if I should continue or not...quite a few chapters seem to be missing~~

 

I won't unless it gets picked up somewhere else. No reason to at the moment since it won't get new chapters for now.
