Also, based on chinese novels, I am starting to have impression that common Chinese people must be bunch of vultures, who whenever they see someone's misfortune organize into crowds just to mock. Of course I understand that it actually has nothing to do with real people and that it's just authors being retarded, but hell it is annoying.

Mob mentality is something different. Let me explain.
Imagine someone claims that he is Jesus Christ the Second and that he can heal with touch in the middle of city.

In reality, 99% people ignore him 0.2% are outraged christians who verbally attack him, and 0.8% are people who silently observe and regret not having popcorn.

In chinese novel, 20% people ignore him, 10% are outraged and attack him verbaly and physically, and 70% observe while silently mocking.

Or maybe it's just me living in first world where people don't really care about random people.
