Long titles are the only way to get people interested these days. Usually, one would have a synopsis or description of their novel that people can read first, but these days nobody reads them consistently. So authors have resorted to stuffing as much of their books content in the title as they can to gain attention.
Take for example that novel that Zephyr just quoted. The Author could have gone with a much more fashionable title like "I, Jobless Adventurer" or Jobless Growth Cheat" and it would have been fine. But instead, the author chose to show people what his novel was about before they even read the description.
