Two completely different approaches to education...
If you feel like you need to know what will be covered in that class, then go...if not, then don't but do some self study to compensate...

@Nahrenne It's an academic writing class. We only discuss on how good my paper is and adding more refs. I feel guilty if I didn't come but it's making me more uncomfortable to sit alone with someone of different gender for 1 and a half hours orz

talk to her/him maybe you will get together with them xD

but that's only if you have to stay for it if not go out have fun

When I had reviews on papers I'd submitted at uni, I found them to be very beneficial. The professor/Doctor gave some very sound advice and even recommended some extra reading material.
In the end, it's up to you...do you feel like your paper needs massive improvement, or not?
