Power of Words:

Life is a battle,
and Words are our Blade.
with each utterance
A price will be paid

some will be in tears
and others by blood
some will break a heart
or stain it with mud

They say sticks and stone
are what we should fear
that words are just words
to ignore the jeer

But how we forget
a heart that was stirred
by the cutting blade,
of a hateful word.

so do be careful
as you live your day
that you don't regret
the words that you say

hey, that's pretty good. i like that you how you carry darker themes with an almost Seuss-ian whimsy. i actually randomly posted some poetry i wrote yesterday lol, looks like we're all on some kinda literary kick.

Some say a picture's worth 1000 words,
but a picture's a picture, while words can hurt.

We describe images,
in what we say,
but the images fade,
the words? They stay.

We don't often think,
of those to who we speak,
might have their feelings hurt,
being pushed to the brink.

So be mindful of what's said,
when speaking your mind.
Someone may end up dead,
when you thought you were being kind...
