Yes and No. On the surface, Logic and Emotions seem to be opposites, but they are more closely intertwined than we thing.
Our Emotions effect what we see as Logical and when. What one might see as "Logical" may differ from someone else and can even differ for you depending on what you are feeling at the time.
So, Its not a matter of "throwing one out" Its about learning to blend them in a way that they complement each other, making up for where the other fails.
The key is the balance, but that balance is hard to maintain. Sometimes you just want to act out of emotions because you simply can't bear it. Or you act out of logic against your emotions because reality demands it.
