Acceptance is overrated. If you are living to please other people, then you'll always be disappointed. Not to say don't care how your actions effect others, but rather don't change who you are just to make someone else like it.
What I am saying is more along the lines of, you shouldn't have acceptance as your goal, rather acceptance should be a natural part of your actions and person.
If someone is not being accepted, then that just means they are hanging out with the wrong kind of people or not doing anything in the relationship.
