I have a bizarre fetish for semi-colons. My University English Lecturer was always up in arms about it, but I found it amusing and never really fixed my ways or revised its correct use. I'm quite sure Yuusha Youjo has a few excess as a result.

Basically, don't worry about it. I use it as a pause that is longer or more emphasised than a comma but less than a full stop.
