I think rather than time, you need to build the foundation for things to last. For example if you share your life... Then you can ensure the both of you evolve together.

Perhaps, but when you first meet someone, you need to get to know them in order to build that foundation. That time you devote there requires a certain amount of trust because without it, then why waste time with someone that you don’t think will stick around.
