When you think about it most models of monetising novel translations are actually about exploiting impatience. You're paying to read it NOW. Aug 17, 2018

Hi, I played your Lakeside Sunset game and I really liked it, it's been a long time since its release but I still came across it on the internet. It's wonderful. Thank you!

Trying to decide which KR novel has the most epic fight scenes: LMS, Reincarnator, PtO, SSN, or Valhalla Saga. I think it's Valhalla Saga.

Yeah,I think it's the legendary aspect that really makes it stand out, because you are already familiar with the glory behind these names. That Weapons of the Round table scene was magnificent.

Tales of the Reincarnated Lord is probably the most realistic of the Kingdom Management genre. The enemies fight back. The MC has weaknesses

People say absence makes the heart grow fonder. Having Top Management take a one-week break from translation is surprisingly impactful.

There are a number of female-MC historical/reincarnation novels. Which one has the strongest and most well-developed *antagonist*?

If there was one webnovel that most resembled the structure of a k-drama, Top Management would be it. Simply the best in its' field.

One of the key things separating good fiction from bad is whether the MC experiences being defeated or blindsided by his/her opponents.

Skip Beat! is probably the best of the shoujo mangas that can serve as a bridge for shounen and seinen readers to enter that world.

I did consider Tokyo Crazy Paradise, but some of the scanlation quality is pretty terrible. And even though the setting might be more appealing to boys, I think it leans too far towards shounen to really be a proper representative of shoujo tropes...

Akatsuki no Yona is good, but I feel it starts off too mildly and slowly... Skip Beat has a frantic comedic energy to it that gives it the edge, I feel. But that could just be a personal preference for comedy over slice-of-life. Perhaps a Gin no Saji to ARIA/AQUA to Akatsuki no Yona pathway might work for slice-of-life fans.

Yup, it was quite a messy scan, and the art isn't as good as Skip Beat's.

Hm... as for me, I think both wars are evenly equal. Kehma and Procell are pretty much winning the war, although I cannot confirm this with Maou-sama no Machizukuri as they are still in the early stages of the war.

I'm amazed at how far the LN translation scene has come, compared to 10 yrs ago when I first started reading Suzumiya Haruhi at Baka-Tsuki.

Still, the sheer number, speed and variety of translations are amazing. (Let's not comment about quality...) The money does probably play a part in it, though donation-fuelled translations really only kicked in about two years ago, with Ren at Wuxiaworld.

The DMCAs came primarily because Baka-Tsuki had become a single source for all the top translations, so easy to keep track of and target. Now that the translation efforts have diversified again, it could make serving DMCAs again a lot harder.
