as usual for me with new games, when it's on a decent sale I'll pick it up. Unless I have lots of trust in the developer and/or game series, i rarely pick up at full price.

Ah yeah same here. You can try to watch some of its gameplay, it's like Civilization.

I used to love Civ back when I used to play Civ 2 on the public library pcs. Didn't play 3 or 4 but I played the spin-off, call to power. Tried 5 like half a year ago when it was on a 5 dollar sale,

but even after manipulating the starting map/data as much as I can, I always felt too cramped on the map in general. It really threw me off since I remember it taking forever in the older civ games with a huge map to encounter other factions and such

Ah, same here alongside with MW2. Also played Total War during that time and it got me hooked into Grand Strategy/RTS game tbh.

I suppose I've permanently moved fandoms to Total War instead during that between period XD

Ahaha, same here. Now, I am playing CK2, HOI4, and Stellaris, and also I forgot EUIV.
