I didn't play it myself, but I saw my brother playing and discussed it with Rea-chan a few times... I don't saw anything worth complaining on it~

It's a 2D souls-like game, but well... A lot harder than Dark Souls~

*nod nod* Playing Dark Souls is similar to playing Touhou, you just need to learn the patterns~

The difference is that the execution in DS isn't very hard, so you just need to learn the patterns to beat everything down~

... Or use Havel set and win without learning most patterns, just because you can tank everything... >.>

Yeah but stagger once and you're toast. Threeshotting bosses is fun though.

Never really understood why people always said that mage is the easiest build... I mean, sure, it can kill stuff really easily, but it's just so hard to die with Havel, I think it's a way better way to play as a beginner.

Mage isn't that strong until they get that late game spells, which means for most of the game you have to play something so much squishier while not hitting that much harder. Newbie killer.

Or well, it's a squishy build with ranged attacks, I guess that's why it is recommended... But you can just use a bow and arrow instead, way faster shooting speed. And the cheapest arrows work surprisingly well~

Bloodborne: Saw Cleaver, Hunters Set, Fuck Dungeons.

The cleric route seems to be pretty good. I haven't found any new light armour since the start but I'm managing. Wis seems to be taking a backseat til I find a scaling weapon too. The prayers are all super useful, dmg, buff, armour and all have helped carry me so far

Rip @Lenaia and @Sir Francis the Resolute . I might buy lenaia's armour since I found the merchant who sells it

But yeah stick with light armor, the heavy armor eats up way too much mobility without actually improving your tankiness by that much. Never tried cleric route myself, but it does seems like a decent option.

yup mobility is the best.Fast roll is life.

I've found an op scythe and got the attack blessings so now I'm running around and now I'm taking bosses down in a couple seconds.

I never actually used scythe because it appears so late into the game when greatsword can be grabbed before Lenaia fight and got some real nice upgrades throughout. Scythes are so cool though.

How was the Witch of the Lake

Took 3-4 tries but I did it. As long as I kept my magic resist prayer up, she couldn't one shot me. So I'd just use a potion and keep attacking through her spells. She didn't have much HP so she kinda melted to my scythe

Personally, I'm a Medium Roll user. However, I legitimately recommend using Heavy Poise Armor for the Four Kings.

If you need to protect yourself just lug around an iron rampart in your second slot and call it a day
