    I enjoy reading stories from different authors and I also enjoy reading my own stories because if I haven't, I would not have written a single story (Am I even making a sense here?)

    The sequence are just changed. The reader reads and then imagines what they read. The author imagines then write the story for the reader(which can also be himself) to read. Sometimes, writing them enhance the image in your mind.
