Actually a simpler one would be a spiky stone in their shoes (imagine a japanese school setting)

Wouldn't you just remove the stone? I mean... Dunno how it is in other places, but if there is a stone in my shoe, I remove it no matter where I am and take the stone out.

Make sure theyre distracted when they put it om do it punctures the skin before they realize
