My cat just runs away from me... Curse his huge paws and fluff, how am I supposed to stop myself from hugging him?

I love my new cat, but how do I cut her claws? When I tried it, they started bleeding, and I was like," NO, I'm sorry! Please forgive me!"

Make sure you only cut the tips, you should be able to see a pink thing inside the claw, and if you cut it you'll hurt your cat. I always do cut cat claws with assistance from someone else. One person restrains cat, the other carefully clips claws.
