I don't know if you're insane for only owning 1 or 2, or if I'm insane for owning ~15 pairs.

I think 5 is the perfect sane number. One pair of tennis shoes, one pair of flip flops, one pair of dress shoes, one pair of slides, one pair of backup shoes.
