I wish. I’m currently just reading the controversial ones on WW at the moment, such as ATG and Spirit Realm. Most people like IET and Er Gen, though. Absolute Choice is also really good.

Hmm, I wonder if the Japanese have made cultivation novels; I know that the Korean's have delved into that genre.

The only one I can think of would be Dragon Ball.

I think JNs tend to do LitRPGs, rather than cultivation novels.

Isn't that because of the difference in mainstream culture? I mean there has to be at least a few people that have tried the genre out.

They're probably not translated yet, because it's not a mainstream topic in Japanese translations.

I've never really seen a Japanese cultivation novel...
I mean, the culture of Japan is more towards rpg due to the gaming industry there.
Chinese and Korean is more towards the cultivation stuff due to their culture of religion, martial arts teachings and philosophical teachings.
I could be wrong with that, but that's what I've come to understand over the years.

That never stopped other authors from borrowing another country's culture.

I know, but I'm giving a possible reason why we haven't really seen any Japanese cultivation novels here.

We've seen some manga with a similar premise, with the obvious being Dragon Ball, and I honestly think they should try writing stories with such a unique genre.

I mean I do kind of wish there was an anime series that incorporated the Xuanhuan genre.

*tells nee-san that it's basically a series that takes the Xianxia genre of cultivation novels to the modern anime scene in Japan*

*it also takes as long as a normal Chinese novel, which they should've changed*
