Can you explain what with this boycott Blizzard and Hong Kong ?

Activision (parent of Blizzard) basically rates kowtowing for CN money above their own values and showing support for people fighting oppression.

Still not understand why they only reduce his sentence by half. Because they are like companies from Chinese LNs ? = having shame or pride and not wanting to say they were wrong ? or because they don't want to side with the people wanting freedom ? Feel as stupid as in America in WW2 a guy shouting "Kill "you-know-who" !" and was punished.
