I wouldn't say it was a shitshow. Its first half was glorius, the best of Bleach. But second half paled in comparison. Also, it was too rushed near the end, and left a lot of questions unanswered, obviously due to Kubo's health.
Though, he and another author, touched upon most of these questions in the follow-up novels—

—So, since the material is all there, they have a lot of time, Kubo is also involved, chances are it will be fairly decent. Not the best of anime, ofc, but at the very least it can be usual Bleach. Ofc, it all depends on the studio, so idk.
