Good premise but what does it do? like what effect?
Do the sound of madness make the enemy confused or something?

It's like a ships fog horn, but smaller. Just point it at anything you don't like and watch them fall down deafened by screams, giggles, incomprehensible noises, and other sounds from an Asylum.

It even works on Eldritch fog.

Maybe, since it not just drive them into madness but apparently deafen them too, so it should affect them
