Though I do have to wonder, what are the red gems? Are they fire gems cause they make me think of the Fire Rod from Legend of Zelda.

It doesn’t really represent anything. It just makes a good conductor for my magic.

You could say the same thing for Rubies, Anra.

But the color doesn’t quite look like a ruby, does it? Therefore, it must be a garnet?

There's a lot of red gems/crystals out there. What color red do you think the gems are? Orange-Red, Pink-Red, or Purplish-Red? I see a Pink-Red, which could mean it is a Garnet or a Spinel. So yeah, Garnet does work.

Unless you are saying it's a Red-Red. A pure red. Then that's a whole other load of business.
