Black Iron Knife

Though raised as a child of a noble household, his blood is one of another household, an ally of sorts. Their bloodline going by the name of Halsen, their influence had been declining over the years, and as a last ditch effort, merged households with the Vergo family who had a wider influence in his kingdom.

When he turned three years of age, the families began his education period, where he began learning the general letters and language of the continent, and developed an accent befitting both his education and status. Then at age ten he began his physical fitness training under the supervision of the Vice-captain of the guards, of course he did not neglect the his studies as a scholar.

First for the improvement of his body, was the endurance training, encompassing the normal jogging and planking techniques as well as several other methods. Then after a certain point they begin the training in hand-to-hand martial arts, and start learning the useful techniques of survival pertaining to whenever he may find himself in foreign lands.

When it came to scholarly knowledge, he learned from the head himself! He had to learn similar matters before, and therefore became the best choice when it came to teaching the next generation of the household. His teaching that introduced both the ideas of comparing theory and reality were extraordinary, especially for the young children of the Vergo family. He was, however strict, but he could only remain as such, for the next head of the household was not chosen through blood, but rather his academic results.

When he was eleven years of age, they included the mage lessons into his class schedule, and when they studied the theories to a certain extent, did they begin the application of magecraft into their lives. When they were able to materialize items to a certain extent, they were given lessons on how to apply it to the air, objects, weapons, and even within/outside their bodies; with great caution of course.

Now a few years after his physical training did he begin training his strength and durability, which only occurred after reaching 15, for fear of damaging the underdeveloped body of an adolescent. Only after this was one able to learn and wield a proper weapon, and while that did not mean one could neglect their training within other fields of battle techniques, a certain importance was placed in achieving a certain mastery in their first pick. They also had to maintain the conditions of their weapons, and Chris took a liking towards blacksmithing and magecraft.

However the durability training was by far the hardest, as they were forcibly tormented with both mental attacks from magic that would slowly numb the body from sudden pain, it also acted as a form of mental training. Most children groan at the unique characteristics of the training, but the family head mentioned that if it weren't for this new type of training, the children would've had to go through real torture, where they would've pierced them with 12-inch nails until they lost consciousness, to which a priest would come over and heal them of their wounds; needless to say for why this practice was abandoned.

After achieving high results and placing in the top three of the academy, but not first, Chris decided to go on an adventure now that he was allowed freedom outside the dukedom's walls, and wandered around by killing beasts and sell their hides, except for their magic stones. They could be used for both enhancing and applying records to an existing object, as well as some higher class spells.

A year went by and he found himself at the foot of the foggy planes, mentioned by the villages close to it.

'A land of curses and horror, never dare yourself to cross these horrid planes.'

With such a simple yet terrifying tale, he found himself wanting to seek and conquer this place, so he stepped his foot forward, and marched onwards till he could cross the planes.
