Name: 冷月如霜 Cold Moon-Like Frost – 匪我思存 (BE) Raw: www.kanunu8.com/files/yqxs/201104/2586.html Description: Despite the scary intro it only has a total of 29 chapters. by Lidge [After a chance meeting, the handsome stranger asks for her name. She waits in hopeless anticipation, but the marriage proposal never appeared. What appeared is an edict from the Emperor killing 3 generations of her family. She lives for revenge, only to realize when she sees her enemy, that it is the last person she would have expected meeting again.] The story begins with an edict from the new Emperor destroying the Mu clan because the patriarch participated in a rebellion. Only the youngest daughter (Mu Ru Shuang) and youngest son are spared, but they are separated. Living with only revenge on her mind, Ru Shuang agrees to help 6th Prince overthrow 4th Prince (the Emperor). She relies on her looks to capture the Emperor’s heart because she looks very much like her elder sister, who had been his favorite concubine but died in childbirth upon learning of the edict against the Mu family. As Ru Shuang carries out her plan, twists and surprises slowly unravel to highlight the constant scheming between the Emperor’s women and the loyalty and rebellion between princes. In the end, the most heartbreaking secret is revealed – that two people meant to be together were separated by an innocent misunderstanding, a misunderstanding that sets in motion for the tragedy to come. I was just complaining to peanuts about I’m in the mood for ancient stories but unable to find any good ones to read, then lo and behold! I stumbled on this little gem. I highly recommend this story, but the author is FWSC so you guys know what you are getting: angst, tears, heartbreak and then a sad ending. Nevertheless, if you’re looking for a good story filled with unexpected twists and surprises, you’re not afraid of crying your eyes out and having your heart torn out of your chest because of the tragic ending, please give this a try!! It’s worth all the tears and pain, I promise hehe.
Short~ I like it. But that description, seems like it'll be sad...I'm not sure if I wanna read it now lol
I personally hate misunderstandings unless the author keeps us in the dark as well, otherwise I die of frustration for the leads before I ever finish the story. > o < Any luck the author does it here? I can even accept a BE, as long as it's written nicely...there's beauty in tragedy too.
https://dorayakiz.wordpress.com/2014/12/23/cold-moon-like-frost-author-fei-wo-si-cun/ ^Here's the story summarized. It's not that kind of misunderstanding (the frustrating kind). It's just kind of a sad "what if".
The tragedy version of Mu-clan. I seriously hate BE, or sad tragedy. Read once, not anymore. These things seriously can crush your soul for days...
Thanks for the summary, that actually looks pretty cool. Much less frustrating than Eastern Palace, for example.
I'm just glad that Spoiler the MC doesn't forgive him & really does stick to her guns & axe him. She's very realistic in that sense. After all, she never loved the 4th Prince, the Emperor with a harem of women. She loved a young man who she met years ago and promised to wed her. He never bothered rectifying the misunderstanding so why should she? Too often you see supposedly cold smart female MCs fall for the abusive, misogynistic & cruel Male Lead and forgive them for every terrible thing they do to the MC. This story seems like a breath of fresh air in comparison.
I just read the summary. and wow. i've been looking for this kind of novel. A novel that doesn't necessarily have to have a HE in order to be good. just because it's tragic doesn't mean it's a BE. hoping someone translates this soon. afterall it only has 29 chapters?
+1 nope, this is not bad ending, its one of best satisfying ending I ever read, Mc revenge on Jerk ML who murder her whole family and marry other prince and had son with him.
Sorry but um no one has realized that they're supporting the very misogynistic ideas that they claim to hate? If you make the victim (often female) responsible for falling in love with their abuser (often male), you're exonerating the abuser of any and all responsibility for their actions. Love is a feeling/emotion. Like all feelings/emotions it's completely outside of one's control. Ktbn.
