    Description:
    (Very Roughly MTL'd)
Shen Yao was a wealthy young master in his previous life. He was taught a lot of "skills" by his family, commonly known as "green tea" art. On his eighteenth birthday, he fell off the roof while drunk and transmigrated into someone who was pushed out by his family to become a "male wife." The original owner constantly teetered on the edge of his husband's tolerance, until his actions finally pushed his husband to another handsome and beautiful actor. Shen Yao had no problem with this ending - until he got to know Fu Mingyan himself.

Fu Mingyan at thirty-six years old stood in front of Shen Yao like a male god.

"F*** this all, this man is mine."

Why It Should Get Picked Up:
Shen Yao is a beautiful, vibrant, and carefree young master with an artist's nature - he lives in his own world untainted by societal rules and pursues the purest art in his paintings. In this sense, he remains rather innocent at heart and his extent of "green tea" only refers to acting coquettish in front of ML - and that cover is exposed and abandoned rather early on. He's unpretentious and has the temper of a spoiled rich child, who only does what he wants selfishly. But he has a firm sense of what is right and wrong, and he pursues that which he believes is right, even if it may be disadvantageous for him.

Fu Mingyan is a self-restrained, highly attractive, and powerful businessman who is also strikingly aloof, calculating, and controlling. He only married the original owner because MC's father helped him in the past, and he "tolerates" MC's mischief to an extent because he in a position of power to do so. His view on MC slowly changes from a "benefactor's child to be sheltered" to a "potential lover" only after MC provokes him time and again. He naturally demands obedience from the people around him, while MC is the antithesis of obedience. As they clash due to their wildly differing natures, they slowly make concessions for the other as they fall in love.

I really like the themes portrayed in this novel. Shen Yao has a lot of inner conflict and resistance against falling in love, because he believes that growing sentiment will tarnish his pure mind for art. He insists that he is a ruthless art scumbag until he falls. I also admire how reckless, brave, and unyielding MC can be in his one-minded pursuit of what is right and justifiable. His actions are so impractical that we would never actually act like so in real life, so seeing MC bullheadedly carry through on his ridiculous decisions and damn the consequences - it's kind of cathartic, really.

This novel is such a gem! I sincerely hope someone picks this up.

(Posted this for pick up before; trying again in a bid to get a lovely translator on board.)
