Discussion 18+. Old Hentai vs Modern Hentai. Real men discussion !

I see a huge quality drop between old hentai and newer hentai. Old classic hentai was more story driven rather than just sex. I miss the time where I actually enjoy the plot of hentai and I somewhat realized that today hentai duration keep getting shorter ( 15 minutes? seriously ? ). The modern hentai animation is really sucks !, clearly today hentai studio is really stingy with their budget, especially those studios that use live2d to make their animation. While maybe old hentai art might look old, but the animation is much smoother.

Pink pineapple & Bunnywalker is the only high quality hentai studio exist right now... so sad..

What do you guys think ? or maybe someone know the reason of this issues ?

I'm sorry to say this, but most people don't actually care about the plot that much. They just want to see hentai. Naturally, the studio's will cather to that, and try to incorporate less plot in exchange for more sex. Of course, the thing is that most hentai companies do not have a big budget, so they also have to compromise. (This is my theory, so feel free to correct me if I am wrong)

 

I'm not as traditional as OP. i mean i've watched quite a few old animes, but the jerky movement turn me off. On the other hand, ever since Kuroinu 1 came out, i dont think i've seen anything match its near perfection yet.

 

Everytime i think about old hentai, i keep hearing about "~Milkyway~*"

 

well, most hentai are also an adaption, so if the source doesn't have plot, you get that.

Let's see if PANDRA series was animated.

 

Maybe because people don't bother to go to Japan buy them and then make subtitles nowadays.

At the end of the day, you need to spend money to get what you want.
It still exists, you just need to pay for it or find niche communities of people who import it

 

Ugly Bastard + Netorare + Rape/Mind Control seems to be popular nowadays, So yes new hentais definitely sucks and it's a plus for me since

Old hentai got almost all of them uncensored, I'm not saying the modern one doesn't get any, but if you compare it, it's obvious. Both has it's weakness and strong point

 

I mean the hentai I see have short plots but they manage to get the manga overall highlights

 

there's no old or modern in hentai only good or bad. and I'd fap to anything good.

 

i prefer the manga to the anime due to the overall meh quality and a hate for animated censorship

 

Not having a good plot is actually not so important for hentai, it's just an very good bonus.

The worst part of new hentai is the lack luster animation. One constant stiff face (might add some blush during the act).
Only legs/boobs moving or an arm/head/tounge if foreplay.
Ohhh, wait i can't even call it movement it's just some shaking placed on repeat for 3-4min at a time.

 

The lack of plot can't be blamed. Hentai with good plot means longer episodes which I am pretty sure the studios don't want to. In addition, adding more plot can be troublesome as quiet often, these plots only end up being ntr. And that is a niche, no matter how big the community is.

As for animation quality... I don't really have any issues. Sure it is getting a bit less smooth but that can only be blamed on how much work is being put on the animators. They just take the source material and try to get it into an animated version. Period. Kind of like what is going on with OPM S2.

All hentai are equal. Old. New. They are both the same. Only the taste of each audience vary. There are only some that has bad quality; both old and new. You cannot say that the new are bad since it only focuses mostly on sex because some it has sensible stories too. While there are some good quality old hentai some are outright disappointing. So disappointing whether you won't watch another one again for a while. But as I said, taste varies depending on its viewers so that is that.
