Description:

The main character, Alfred, a knight of the Kingdom of Falke, was defeated by the overwhelming number of troops of the empire that launched a war of aggression, and was forced to withdraw from the fort that was a defensive point.

He tries to withdraw to the royal capital, but is cornered by knights from an enemy country on the way.
Alfred loses both of his arms due to an attack by an enemy magician and falls into the river at the bottom of the valley.

However, it was an elf woman belonging to the Kingdom of Aurelia who saved him from dying. Alfred, who lost both of her arms, was given magic prosthetic hands by the elf Yuna, who was a talented magician even though she had problems with her communication skills.

Alfred returned to his hometown, where he was able to hold the sword again by wearing magic prosthetic hands, but his hometown was already destroyed by the invasion of the empire.

With nowhere to go, Alfred tries to return the favor to his benefactor, Yuna, who gave him his new arms. However, on the way, he learns that the Imperial Knights are approaching Yuna and the others.

Why It Should Get Picked Up:

This looks like a heartwarming story in a dark setting. It is also fairly new. The author has just finished the first volume.
