I used to dislike harems and avoid them at all costs but now if it's done right I can read them just fine. Same for baby MC , I don't mind child MC but a baby can be annoying. Might just be my tastes that changed with time
slice of life~ unless it have romance as main this cat have never bothered with this particular genre~ until this cat enter workforce class.... you know just chilling with no fight or drama is fun~
Never thought I would get into Kpop idol novels/webtoons, yet here I am consuming every drop of non-MTL Debut or Die that I can get my grubby hands on.
It's not a genre but if you tell me at the time I still at school or college that I will read a book that only has text, I think I will never believe. A wall of text that with only white and black color and without any image or photo. Even though it's was not for education but still unbelievable for me to be patient to read that wall.
Music genre in novels isn’t that bad. It’s pretty interesting to read about random fictional character trying to develop their own unique song and style. There’s also some pretty good fishing novels. Out of all the possibly things, I would’ve never guessed that fishing could be made to sound pretty interesting. All the details about different fish, their environments, what bait you should use etc. Just goes to show that the more you read the more you’ll end up finding random things that spark your interest!
Horror. And shounen ai. I also find angsty novels very pleasant, where the MC is as miserable as can be and the ML is normal. not a douchebag, or OP hen-pecked typical CEO. Those MLs that try and fail. The MC can't be unreasonably sad or miserable, they have to be truly miserable and hateful but reasonably. Someone who you want to scream why at. I also surprisingly got very interested in the arranged marriage genre. Which I thought I would hate, but not when it's well done. Especially those that go 'I don't understand love, but I want to stay with you'. It makes my week pretty positive after reading.
Welp, I guess I'm the type who never steps out of their comfort zone... If I'm not into any genre, it's highly unlikely I'll ever get into it. The genres I like are pretty broad anyway. But there have been genres I've gotten bored of and dropped. Like sports (including gaming) or slice of life.
Wait, I thought you were a squirrel GL I thought I was always gonna stay a normie but I somehow found out that I love GL and now have to read daily otherwise I will die
I never thought I would took a liking to Vtuber. It took my sister three months to convince me to watch one and finally make me hooked to it. Before that, I had just half assedly told her my opinion without caring bits about it.
Those are pretty good too, so long as it happens in the end. Bakuman anime took such a long time but finally got the happy ending!
I used to hate quick transmigrations, like at all costs! Because I didn't like to read novels where mc and ml develops too fast, then after you got attached to the characters, the mc will left and start a new world that completely different from the last one, like makes me a homesick (??) I don't know the term but something like that. Maybe, I'm not just fond of a novel where everything progresses fast (or maybe I just like slow-burn more and detailed novels?)
BL. A few years ago if you had told me I would like that, I would have laughed. Why? Because I’m asexual. And not just any type of asexual, but the kind that is disgusted by sex. The irony is not missed on me
- Investment and stock novel... - Idol novel Usually, I mostly enjoy fantasy setting... not modern career novel. I guess I just need a novel with good plot + MC that I like then I will be able to read.
