Recommendations A Mage unlike others (Strange/Diffrent Powers)

    I'm looking for some decent stories Where the MC is (preferably) a Mage who's Specialty lies outside of the normal cliches of these kinds of Stories.

    No Fire Mage burning down Armies, or Lighting mages slaying Dragons, or Dark element Assassins, etc etc.

    I'm Looking for something with a Twist to it. Maybe an MC who's Specialty lies in Sound Magic, and takes on a Bard type role. Or an Earth Mage who hate fighting and become a Construction worker instead. Or maybe an Druid type character who starts their own Ranch.

    Its fine if the MC is OP in their OWN Right, but I'm NOT Just looking for one of those Stories where the MC can and does a bunch of Different things that other people in that world haven't thought of (Like World Tutor or the Man Chosen by the gods)

    But rather things that are Different for the GENRE itself.

    Can be Royalroad, NU or Scribble Hub, I don't really mind

    XD I know, this one is a Tricky one. Good luck, and thanks in Advance!

    Examples:
    - The Wandering Inn : Inn Magic.
    - Delve: Aura Specialist
    - Queen in the Mud: Racial "Salamancy" magic using her Tail.
    - The Zombie Knight Sage: Iron Materialization
    - Magi Craft Meister : Almost Purely a "Crafting" mage.
    - Mother of Learning: Mind mage with some Time Travel thrown in.

    NOTES:
    1): Decent Length (30+chapters or 2-3 Volumes, depending on chapter length), and/OR being actively translated (Has been updated in the last 1 - 2 months). I.E. I don't want something with 10-15 chapters that's not been updated since August 2016, but something with 5-10 chapters that's been update Mid Feb/March(or even the start) is perfectly fine.
    2): No Hentai/Smut. Adult themes/Scenes are fine, but no blatant smut (I.E. a bedroom scene just for the sake of smut).
    3): Harem tag is fine, but No Polygamy.

    Magi Craft Meister?
    Mc is a crafting specialist and basically has no direct attacking power (tho he does use a crafting magic to attack once)

    Kind of? Its a good example, though its sometimes hard to remember he's actually a Mage. Hahahahahha!

    Hmmmm, I've actually picked up Blue mage before, but I can't rightly remember WHY I dropped it. I might have to try again and see. I might have jsut got distracted.

    Not seen the Second one though, will have to take a look.

    Yes it's finished.
    It has a shared world with the novel
    Thread Bare
    And the author already said that mc will appear again in other novels but not as MC

    Oh right talking about it
    Both Small medium and Thread bare are stand alone so you can read in any order
    Tho if you read thread bare first you will understand some things easier like for example the world power system and so

    Also technically thread bare is a bit into what you wanted.
    A Golemist Necromancer tho he isn't really focused on the magic part
    And he is probably really different then what you are expecting when you made thread XD

    That sounds interesting, though given the "nature" of it, I have to ask how Dark the story is, hahaaha!

    It's pretty fluffy actually~
    It does have deaths and such but it is fluffy and heartwarming even tho it's a serious novel and not a slice of life~

    there's no mages, it's a cultivation novel, but if you're interested, Zither Emperor is pretty good. zither cultivators are usually support in this novel, but he's like a combat zither cultivator.
