Forgotten Title A novel about Dragon Slaying

I read a novel in the past about a group of Dragon Slayers looking for new recruits, their examination was to kill a dragon even though they're completely noobs being a farmer, etc etc etc. He has a sword from his grandfather but it was blunt and couldn't be sharpened. When the MC fought the dragon, his eye got injured then because of the fire breath of the Dragon, the sword was turned into a sharp sword, and he found out at the end after the battle that his grandfather's sword was a artifact and could only be complete because of the fire breath, also he obtained huge boosts in his physical abilities and his injured eye turned into a dragon eye. Please help me remember the title.

 

I don't know which novel that is, but this feels chinese...

 

yeah, I couldn't remember it because at that time, hmm.. It's too short, I don't know if the translator continued it. Darn!

i think the problem lies at the interest of the reader n the tl doesnt really get apreciate for his/her work n stop idk but usually thats the problem

Taba1212... There are some results that Google gives when you search for monster hunter/dragon hunter/dragon slayer manga or chinese novel with dragons or dragon/s in chinese novels. There are to many results to quote them, but maybe you have luck and find what you search or something better.

Is it the story was like.. His mom gave birth to him in a battlefield, his dad die to protect them.. He was sent away and taken care by an old man.. He is a super strong lil boy at 5 or 6 years old already able to beat up ranked magical beast.. During the assessment they were attacked by dragon.. He chased the dragon away was it with a sword and awakening? And he and one guy enter the school that guy got fire root?
