    I just read a thread by @Slyin and I think they brought up some really good points. @AicilaXI redirected things over to Suggestions and Bug Reports, so here I am! After reading up on some review systems on other sites I searched and found this thread. However, it is mainly focused on filtering out nonsense/troll/half-baked reviews.

    At the very least, there seems to be a lot of dissatisfaction concerning the utility of the current five star rating system. I wish we could have something similar to what @Slyin suggested. Here is a quick exerpt:
    If we expanded the current star system:

    Character Development X Stars out of 5
    Story Building X Stars out of 5
    Universe Depth X Stars out of 5
    Others X Stars out of 5
    Overall Score X Stars out of 5.0

    I like this as someone who wanted to leave a lengthy meaningful review could. Someone who wants to rate it without commenting could as well, but users reading the reviews would still have some actual feedback. It still needs work, but I think it has potential?

    This would be a really good way of rate novels although a little tiresome for lazy people like me~

    I don't really mind this, but I don't think it's going to alleviate any of the issues with the current system. People are just going to vote 5/5/5/5/5 or 1/1/1/1/1, and all this does is create an even bigger gap between people who vote 5/5/5/5/5 and people who actually take it seriously and vote 2/5/4/3/5. The differences in totals will just be magnified. Then there will have to be a 'filter by story building' and similar options added to the main page. It could potentially work but I don't think it's something which would be a high priority right now.

    I think having the ability to upvote a review might add incentive. The people at this thread made some really good points on the +/- review system. There is no hurry, but it difficult to search for new novels by either tags or reviews right now imo.

    EDIT
    Perhaps encouragement rather than incentive. Steams additional ability to rate a review as funny separately from +/- is also nice. People who just give all 5s or 1s could potentially be sorted out this way. Of course, others could + these reviews as well, but at this point it would become a consensus and valid in it's own right as a review...

    Having to write it like a questionnaire, and you should at least have to read 20 to 50 chapters before being able to give a review, also it would be good to have certified reviewers

    That isnt really necessary as tony already approved a feature where it shows what chapter you were on at the time of the revoew

    What if the story is less than that? Sansheng, Death Exists Not at the River of Oblivion is maybe 13 chapters, completed including the bonus stories.

    What if we could earn trophies or reviewer titles (similar to the staff member title maybe) with our upvotes?

    I think anyone should be able to review is all.

    Completed short stories can be reviewed no matter the chapters
    if it is a published one, then a volume read is a must

    TT_TT This... If downvotes are allowed at all after this, they should be -50 review points at the minimum. Otherwise too many would be trolling for just trophy's....

    damn... that's one of a heck trophy system... it should be called achievements, and we should gain Exp. for every action we make in the forums and be ranked by Levels at the side of our names...
