Thanks to reading the latest "fan fiction" of God's Blessing on this Wonderful World, I feel a little peeved yet serious. How many members were able to fulfill their goals in life? By goals, I mean occupation. Everything else comes after having an occupation, because even if money can't always buy us happiness; it ironically keeps us alive most of time. So were you able to become what you wanted to be? Not who, but what! Not everyone can be who they want to be, since change is eternal and infinite as our desires in life. We can't always be the same person, with the exact same mentality alongside our actions towards people and events.

Potential is a frightening concept. It's intangible yet It kills slowly and it always kills anyone absolutely. The only difference is whether potential kills you before you can accomplish what you want, or you die accomplishing it, or later die after everything you accomplished in life. Potential is not inherently good or bad, it is simply the way of living life to it's shortest or fullest. How much karma did you sow or sever? How much did gain or loss? How much regrets or memories did you make? How much did you understand about yourself and life?

Again, I shall ask you. Were you able to become what you wanted to be? If you're still starting, then I will change my approach. Will you able to continue on what path you will take, regardless of the difficulties you shall experience in the run?

Still young you know? My goals compared when I was a little bastard have changed and my goals are good and I am in that direction so is I will keep going besides I am more determined to achieve them after learning a couple of things that left me awake for an entire night.
Though watching the world having a turn for the worse every time feels like a big bummer, a big concious barrier.
Seriously NYC what the fuck is your problem?

I would say i've hit one of my goals, ironically my current job was my dream job....but after a month I joined this job, I feel myself doing it for money rather than my love for this field....so much so that I wanna quit the job~

I would guess the vast majority of members are... let's say under 40. And people most likely have enough time after that to do what they want, provided their health is in sufficient order and they still have their dreams.

Meh. Forget this crap. Don't focus on doing what you want, focus FIRST on getting enough money / wealth to be able to do what you actually want. The number of enjoyable careers is VASTLY smaller than the number of careers that will earn you enough money to do what you enjoy.

All this crap about 'do what you love' is just to trick enough misty-eyed dreamers into becoming disenfranchised, disillusioned, lower-class wage slaves so the wealthy can live off your bent backs.

Seriously, if there was one thing I could tell my younger self: FOCUS ON EARNING WEALTH FIRST. THEN DO WHAT YOU ENJOY.

Most people have very little idea of what their ideal career is like day to day.

After a long time on the tech side in the finance sector I spent the last year and half trying to switch into VR development. Recently I sort of settled for a more steady job outside of VR... it deals with 3D assets, and is a pretty nice place to work but I still feel a twinge in my heart when I see the group next to me doing actual VR/AR stuff. I actually had a choice of going there vs. going to a small startup doing AR for emotion tracking but couldn’t pass up the difference in compensation.
