A prime example is RMJI. It portraits just how hard it is for normal people to cultivate. Not like many novels which resort on fortuious encounter and talent which makes the mc smoothly pave his way in his cultivation and trample their enemies, the mc in this novel have no talent at all and heavily relied on his wits to solve his problems. It doesnt mean that i dont accept any talented or lucky mc. But with a peerless talent and infinite fortuious encounters, wouldnt it be boring ?
I would recommend you Cultivation Chat Group but.... hmm its actually only slow at the beginning, but it went off at the speed of a flying penguin a couple hundred chapters later...
+1 for Ze Tian Ji Demon's Diary (same author) I didn't read but it seems a good slow paced novel : Legend of the Cultivation God
hmm novel with slow paced story i only know few of them but if novel with Slow paced Translation i know lot of them XD
Legend of the Cultivation God is in my opinion a better story than Record of a Mortals Journey to Immortality, as it' even more meticulous, and it takes great import in explaining the real sadness in certain events. Also the characters are more believable, sadly it is not being updated at the moment, otherwise I'd rank it above Ze Tian Ji. That is not to say I won't suggest Ze Tian Ji though, as that story also is quite amazing. I hope that was somewhat useful.
World of Cultivation, u need to read this, from my point, best cultivation novel The Dark King, MC a hunter, and he is a very smart one Killing ground of God's and Demons (mostly killing, I stopped around I think chap 30, need to catch up) Instant Kill, another Diamond, def need to read it My Ranch, but it stopped updating Release that Witch, very good novel, bad pick for a title, MC has no power but uses the people around him quite well Tales of Reincarnated Lord, good world building, Reincarnator, OP MC but very good novel
Spirit Blade Mountain - it may not be the one u want, because MC is genius, however his cultivation doesn`t go crazy and is in fact quite slow. P.S. Be aware that for some reasons translation of the novel has stopped, but manhwa is translated,
Immortal Executioner and ISSTH are the only true 'slow cultivation' novels. In both series the author has a way of breezing over large time periods and making them seem short but in reality it takes hundreds of years for the MC to make a breakthrough
