They (the Emperor, Johannes and Nora's dad) were all in love with her and despite already moved on, they still ahve some lingering feeling for her. Nora' s dad and probably the worse of the two.
Now the next question will be why Shuli and the Empress have the same face (Hopefully nobody havent ask this question, but sorry if someone already did)

I really love this webtoon Based on first timeline in recent chapters, the characters personality looks the same as per recent timeline. The different is Shuli maturity and action with the kids causing different results in current time line. 1st timeline shown many regrets indeed
Yeah. I read they surprisingly looked way tooooo similar. The reason why they (Emperor. Johannes and Alb) were quite "doting" on Shuli?
She looks similar to the late Empress is the exact reason why Johannes choose her. He knew that her appearance can stir up sympathy for her from the Emperor and the Duke and give her some allies when he not around anymore. Johannes basically use the Empress image to emotional manipulate the other two.
I dont know how to feel about this tbh. But i gotta say its fortunate he chose Shuli since she took care of his family well, even in the 1st timeline.

Does the first timeline coexist with the present timeline? like while the mc went to the past after she died, the first timeline's flow still continued?
oh my god i skipped ahead (only around ch 20 rn) and i cried reading that it was so sad and beautiful and the way the panels were done was so dramatic and added so much to the mood it was absolutely amazing AHHHHHHHHHHH

not sure if this question has been asked already, but did jeremy harbor romantic feelings for suli in the first timeline? i know that ohara suspected he did based on the manhwa, but i'm wondering if there's more confirmation of it in novel.
